It's also useful to know that 479 of the 493 dead are still from Hubei province, despite it having only about 16k of total 24k cases, or about 2/3.
14 deaths out of 8000 cases elsewhere. Hubei had a lot more than that by the time they got to 8000. It's getting pretty clear that people just aren't dying in the other places.
outside China, now 213 cases and one death in the Phillipines, of a Chinese person who was in Hubei. I think besides Asians maybe being more vulnerable, the virus is could be mutating into less deadly forms, and of course the medics are probably much better at treating it. This bug is beat.
