First and foremost, no disrespect to Kobe Bryant. But from what l understand 9 people lost their lives? Killed in the crash where; two young girls, a wife, and a well know baseball coach, and a few others we don't know anything about. Let's remember all of them.
Of course death is always sad, and we should always pause to respect the mortality of others, and our own.
Pure speculation here, of course, as the reasons for the crash are not yet fully determined, but to me this is looking like the "pressured pilot" scenario that contributes to so many air tragedies. In other words, the timelines reported and climatic conditions described may point to a pilot who, given the fame and fortune of KB, may have pushed on into dangerous conditions.
We may never know the actual decision-making process of the pilot, but one has to wonder if the "(rich and) fame monster" has indirectly reared its ugly head once again.

First post for me. I'm curious, why would this post be deleted?

Unfortunately for you, celebrities are able to impact people's lives.
Exactly. Remember how all those celebrities promised us that they'd move out of the country if we elected Trump for president?
This is the anniversary of the Challenger explosion. I expect you remember the name of the school teacher on board, if you were alive then.
Do you remember the name of any of the others? Unlikely.
Par for the course. Doesn’t mean they were not important.
Christa McCauliffe, I believe.
