What is the record again?
What is the record again?
I believe that Lagat only has a 14 year streak
Crazy. I cannot imagine anyone else did as many.
How many guys ran a fast mile until their late 30s?
At most 36 for people targeting the record, and starting at 18 if they were to beat Nick. I cannot think of anyone running sub-4 from 18 to 36.
strange to say "i can't imagine" when steve scott ran 136 sub-4s. that said, i know he did it from 1977 until at least 1992, but it seems likely that willis may have the record for longevity when it comes to sub-4s...

Steve Scott has a 15 year streak (maybe 16)
It's 18 years in a row.
Nick Willis (NZL) 18 years with a sub-4 mile

According to the earlier thread (cited above), Scott went 17 years, and Walker 19.
Awesome! And today's race was indoors (correct?). Surely he's got a few more years if sub 4 in him if he wants to keep going for it.
It’s gonna be crazy when youngsters start saying that guys streak started in the nineteen hundreds!

What is Willis looking to run this year? What's his goal time?

...actually, that is 16 yrs, 11 months and 18 days, even though it is the 18th different year within which he has run one.

Times are irrelevant for an Olympic year. His goal will be to win the kick for 3rd from the chase pack at the Olympics after the two Kenyans run away from the field.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
