Anyone else planning to run it?
Training for it in the heart of the Northeast winter has been fun, I'll say that much. (As has trying to find any decent hills in NYC.)

It is definitely a bucket list race for me. Is it an uphill or downhill year? I'd do the race but I can't carve an entire week out of my schedule to get to Africa and back
Jim Walmsley does. People talk about that Camille Herron is running too. Not sure if that is true since she never mentions it on her twitter feed.
(She mentions ever beer she drinks (And she drinks a lot))

Downhill this year. Going to hammer squats and lunges for the next 6 months to get my legs in shape.
You definitely need to do it at some point. Growing up watching the race both live and on tv in South Africa, I can safely say that the energy and vibe is on a different level to any other race.

Jim should do well, I'd think. Top 5 is certainly well within reach. As for the women's race, if Gerda Steyn runs it again (which I assume she will), surely no-one else will get close.
Superior Coach JS will doubtless be training a sprinter to win this one.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
