I applied for Medicaid and was accepted as a current doctoral student only receiving a modest stipend. I have inheritance (100k) as well that I have not touched since obtaining and forgot to report. I have used approximately $200 of Medicaid benefits since being accepted and began coverage on Saturday. I'm attempting to pay back everything out of pocket to the clinic that I visited.
"Dumb" was the most operative word in that you never asked a question, you never mentioned what state you are in (which can impact any legal advice), and you never mentioned what other assets/income that you have.
In other words: you are asking for help, but providing little to no information that could potentially get you that help.
I do hope that you have a seminar course in common sense at some point.

You are lying. You did not forget to report your $100,000. You chose not to report that money. Use your money and go out and by insurance.
contact the local DSS, or whoever established your eligibility and talk to the employee and tell them.
These cases are easily resolvable if you are forthright. They are not going to charge you with fraud. Follow-up your call with putting things in writing stating that it was a mistake and that you are willing to pay restitution. That covers any exposure and from there it is really just a case of figuring out how the restitution works.
As pointed out earlier, Medicaid programs are run by states and every state procedure, asset limit, etc. is by state.
