I saw he ran 1:01:50 today at Houston and was about 25 place. Before today he ran a few half's in 1:04 mid range, and a road 5k last Summer in 14:45 where he was a good bit behind Kevin Castille, and he jumped in a 2 mile road race and ran 9:20 in October, although he won by a lot, so l don't know if he was 100 percent. In the 5k l don't think he was 100 percent eather, for some reason or other. He had a decent career at Tulane, but never made the podium in track, or was never better then 75 place in the NCAA Cross Country Championship. He has been working out in Kenya this past month, and even ran a cross country race in Kenya, but l think he is living in New Orleans. Does he have what it takes to be a top World Marathoner? Or was today a rare fast day and will he eventually fade away? He did win the two previous half marathons he ran in 1:04 something. Does he have the talent to be a top elite or will he just be a good dude who wins a few regional races and disappears with no real sponsorship in a few years because he has to find a job? I know most pro teams don't take on foreign runners in the US as they mostly cater to U S runners only.
