Give us some of your workouts. How long can you tempo for, what are your longs runs like, etc. In general, a dude who goes under 8:40 goes under 15 in the Spring. It all depends how you shake it.
Workout 1 - either 8x400 at Mile pace with long rest (2 min standing) or 12x400 @ 5k with short rest (30 sec standing)
Workout 2 - 20 - 30 min Fast Tempo
Workout 3 - Long Run 2 hours
8 strides the day before the first two workouts
Still early for my indoor season in the east, so I haven’t run 8:40 or anything, but looking for what I realistically want to aim for now with a long term goal also in mind.
Workouts of note:
20 miles at 6:10 - moderate effort
12x400 @ 74 (estimated 5k) felt comfortable
8x400 @ 67 felt hard, but first workout after base
