This story is sick if true.
A man had a new job and his new pay check was placed on hold on December 23rd. He called the bank to see why he couldn’t access the funds as he needed them desperately for Xmas. The woman on the phone tried to help him for ore than an hour but said his only option was to go to the local branch and get the manager to override the hold.
He went to the local back on December 24th. The bank verified his new employment but the manager wasn’t there so no one had the authority to lift the hold on his paycheck. Distraught, the man stopped at a pay phone and called the 1800 number to speak to the rep from the night before. He told her he was stranded at a gas station with no money on Xmas eve. The rep realized she was only 14 miles away so she asked for permission from her manager to go give the guy $20 bucks to get home. She was gone less than an hour and soon back at work.
The bank fired both the rep and the manager claiming they could be raped or kidnapped.
If this is true, the employee deserves to be promoted if anything. Deserves a GoFundMe as well.
