In the year 2025, WADA announce new tests for synthetic testosterone, EPO and autologous blood transfusions
WADA requests UKAD to give them Sir Mo Farah’s urine and blood samples for retesting.
The chief executive of UKAD, Mrs Poppycock, said she would block the release of samples stored for future retesting unless there was “credible evidence” to suggest they contained banned substances.
Asked whether Wada had the power to seize Farah’s samples, Mrs Poppycock replied: “My view is any sample that is collected by UK Anti-Doping is the possession of UK Anti-Doping.”
UK, lots of well paid jobs.?
Perhaps then, now?
Besides brexit fallout, November saw the most ecinomic contraction in 40 years.
Pension armegedon is coming next as 40% of the population will need covering in less than 10 years. ....Double of any other "first world" economy.
Banks. UK Banks are about to lose all stature when Brexit comes through. Top 5 banking in the world, to barely relevant top 50.
Ireland. Best economy in Europe will become ground zero for uprising once Brexit happens.
Brit Recession? According to November #s, could be starting.
In sum, due to no positive economic outlook, I would say that UK athletes in the future will be even more motivated than ever to follow the "examples" set by Radcliff, Farah, Froome, Wiggins and Coe.

People in the UK are fortunate that there are lots of well paid jobs that don’t involve desperate actions / sacrifice. Most kids end up giving up running between the ages of 14-18. Therefore the motivation to dope in a country such as the UK is much, much lower than somewhere such as Kenya. Not saying it can’t happen, just that it’s less likely. Also, the people using Froome and Wiggins as an example are also barking up the wrong tree. Both of them and team Sky came under tremendous scrutiny (including a parliamentary inquiry) and nothing serious was found to implicate either of them. Furthermore, a similar issue arose in 2017 relating to the release of samples and Farah was happy for his samples to be released - I imagine he would welcome it now also.
Agree with you more pressure to dope in Kenya versus UK but not sure what careers were open to Farah bedsides being a pro runner. He may have had a higher pressure to dope than the UK average.
Disagree about Wiggins/Froome. Wiggins never had asthma and was using cortisone - this is doping - there is no debate about this. He only said he had asthma after his use of cortisone was leaked, this is like Lance Armstrong with his saddle-sore cream and cortisone use at the 1999 Tour. Tests at the 2018 Vuelta showed that Froome was completely off the charts on his asthma medication usage - way beyond anything that you would use to treat asthma medically. Team Sky were having vast quantitities of testosterone delivered to their training facility - other cycling teams have banned for less. The team Sky doctor threw away, sorry I mean lost all of the team's medical records so that is why the parliamentary enqury did not have the evidence necessary.
So true, and what about the russians and other shady countries?
They should now adopt the same tactics; show us some credible evidence first, then u might get a sniff at it.
How can it be more credible than having ur former coach banned for shady business?
It will not work if the anti-doping agencies are not co-operating.
I think Nicole Pussycat will be sacked.
There goes the "white people are more honest because we're richer" bulls*** again. The current president of the United States is an alleged billionaire but has never uttered a fully true sentence in his life. Lance Armstrong? Rich. Also, a doper. Get out of here with that stuff.
I’m sorry but please don’t default to responding to a comment by immediately calling it racism. I didn’t say there is more incentive to dope because of their ethnicity or due to the colour of their skin, it purely involves circumstances at play. There are three elements to committing fraud (which doping is). First is opportunity - there is more inherent opportunity where controls are lax. This certainly was the case in Kenya albeit this is now changing (which may I add is a good thing as it protects the clean, hard-working Kenyan athletes, of which I’m sure there are many). The second aspect is justification, which could be as simple as feeling that the rest of the competition do it so why can’t I? The last aspect is motivation. The average salary for FTEs in the UK is £35k. The average salary in Kenya is less than half and the disparity in wealth can be enormous. I saw another poster commenting on Farah’s lack of opportunities other than running - perhaps that’s true and perhaps he is not clean. I don’t dispute that. The point I’m making is that there are only limited samples to test and it would be more prudent to wait for advances in testing (where the detection window for EPO is say 30 days), rather than waste the sample now looking for something that can’t be detected under current methods.
To add a further point... if Ramzi’s samples had been spent up before a method was established for flagging CERA then he’d still be the ‘08 Olympic champion.

True but on the same token, the poor black hard done by smiling peasant who always speaks the truth is complete bs also!

"Mrs Poppycock"...well done.

Eh, make that TWO former coaches. And an attempt to get Aden into Haile's hotel in Ethiopia for presumably a training camp...POST-sabadell bust, mind you.

Again, if that were the problem here, they would now quickly hand over the old samples before the statute of limitations expires (specifically, the samples from 2011 and 2012). Yet they don't want to hand over any samples.
Ramzi's samples were taken in 2005, 2007, and 2008. The announcement of his positive test from 2008 was in April 2009. It has now been over 8 years since Farah first medaled in 2011. It has been over 7 years since his double gold in the Olympics, etc. At what future moment will it be proper to re-test his samples? UKAD is just trying to further cover up doping.

Good to hear some UK athletes speaking up.
...If we have to hear Laura Muir pontificate about Hassan or Dibaba again but she remains silent on Mo & UKAD's cover-up then we will know all we need to about her too.
This may be a dumb question, but is this a real thing, or some hypothetical question?
Has WADA even asked UKAD for any samples in UKAD possession?
Does it even work that way?
I would think that WADA would not ask for the samples, but request retests.
WADA has access to the ADAMs database, so they may not even ask for retests.
Or, like we saw with Russia, the samples are not stored at UKAD, but stored at a WADA-approved lab, and if WADA had any doubts about them being in a UK lab, they would request a transfer of the samples to another lab for safekeeping and retesting.
I see Nicole Sapstead saying they would cooperate with sufficient reason, but would not support a fishing expedition.

Mo could also ask Seb to create a report stating he is clean , based on non transparent investigation just like he did with Paula Radcliffe . Then Mo, Seb and Paula could go on BBC1 and talk about how bad the drug scene is in Russia.

I think it’s fair to assume that they have been retested since. No flagged test? Shock horror - perhaps the guy is clean... Also, if I were in Jess’ position I would say the same thing - any sensible athlete would want to ensure that they are publicly supporting any anti-doping efforts but that doesn’t mean releasing the samples is the right thing to do - all that will happen is that it’ll turn into a witch-hunt with Mo’s name dragged through the press only for it all to whittle away once all the reputations damage has been inflicted. Nobody gives Mo the respect he deserves.

How so?
IMO ukad is only interested in protecting the reputation of UK athletics, the leaked emails showed them up
Don't believe they've any intention of ever retesting or finding against Mo Farah
