The race I want to peak at in the 800 and 1500 is in 10 weeks. When do you suppose is a good time to taper? I was thinking two more weeks of high volume (mile-3k pace intervals short rest) , 6 weeks of sharpening (800 - mile pace intervals medium rest), then the last two weeks hard speed work with long rest. Some workouts tapering workouts in the last two weeks look like...
3-5-3-150 at slightly faster than goal 800 pace (3 min rest),
8x200 @ goal 800 (30 second rest)
3x400 @ max effort possible.
600 @ goal 800 - 30 second rest - 200 all out.
