I was wondering what other people do in terms of running before and after taper. I run better on less taper and not taking too much rest before race day, this is around what I do usually. Thoughts or things need to change?
Sun: 75 min easy - 5k effort last 2:30 mins
Mon: Rest
Tue: 15 min wu - 20 min tempo - 15 min cd + weights
Wed: 45 min easy
Thu: 15 min wu - 10 x 30 sec hard (mile effort), 30 sec walking rest - 20 min cd
Fri: 40 min easy
Sat: 30 min easy + 5x100 strides
Sun: 15 min wu - strides - race - 20 min cd
Mon: Rest
