So I just finished week five of Daniels 2Q marathon program. I had anxiety before the first 9 "quality" runs - but nailed them all without much difficulty. I was finally feeling confident - then failed miserably on the 10th effort.
The plan called for 8 miles easy, then 8 X 1K, 2 min jogs, plus 2 more easy.
Does that sound like a particularly difficult workout?
I was only able to muster 950 meters in the allotted time. I actually thought I felt fine so I don't think was really an off day. 6 mph wind in my face but that's not too bad. Maybe the 8 miles easy, or the accumulated fatigue was a little too much. I'm a little surprised because the last workout was 17 miles with a total of 6 tempo miles - including miles 14 and 15, (those into the wind). No problem there! Just wondering what others might think.
