When was the last time the US or Russia had present or former WR holders busted? I recall two Kenyans in the past year.

It's common for Kenyans to come and go through windows. There's no evidence that he was evading the testers. He may have had an appointment elsewhere.

Robertsons...the only Kenyans I can trust.

Hopefully they’ll leave too.

You don’t have many world record holders, son.
In Kenya, it is likely a form of interval training. As well as evading doping control. Kills two birds with one stone.
Well, they're adding much needed diversity to Kenya. Isn't diversity good?

Except it's not diverse; it appears to be the norm.

Lol.
You mentioned more dopers between US and Russia. That's across all sports. Not just track. Between the US & Russia there are literally 100s of WRs across dozens of sports.
Kenya leads track doping by far, and best of all they can't even sniff a WR in the field events. Goes to show you how non-athletic they are.
Rojo, we agree that Kenyans have evolved superior genes foe running. I don't know what your theory is. Maybe generations of Kenyans hunting lions by foot, or simply Kenyan schoolchildren running to school, and the ones who ran faster and were never late, got higher marks, got better jobs, and ended up having larger families? That sort of thing.
Well do you think top Kenyan athletes having to outrun anti-doping testers is another selection pressure that will reventually esult in even faster Kenyan genes for running in a few generations? The top Kenyan athletes in the 22nd century might be running the 800m in under a minute.
Genuinely interested to know your opinion.

Umm. If you refuse a test, and I'd say jumping out a window is refusing a test, it's an automatic ban. Why isn't this person's name being released?
Obviously the AIU can't release the name until they make a formal charge, and I guess the Kenyan media isn't so leaky as Western interests.

No, that would be the US and Russia. Seriously. Look it up.
Almost no U.S. distance busts. And per capita it isn't even a contest. In any case the Kenyans are putting in a massive surge FTW overall.
I would have a hard time believing that guy had an alternate reason for leaving in such an extraordinary way, but without knowing the circumstances we can’t say if he broke any rules. Had the vampires asked to test anyone yet? Unless they had told the athletes officially they were going to be tested (the athletes not the managers) then the guy ought to be free to leave right? Clearly if it was an emergency he would use the front door, but a good lawyer might technically be able to argue this one and win.

My hope is that when this is over, foreign actors start getting banned from Kenya. All this started with them, believe me.
It probably did, but it's too far gone now. Even if they left, there are enough dirty athletes and doctors who know how it works. It has been made sustainable. Perhaps the charities could learn from the doping system.
I'm not defending foreign managers/coaches. I'm just pointing out that there is now enough local knowledge to keep everything going.

You must be so embarrassed now that Kenyan running has been exposed as a sham.
All credit to you for turning up day after day & defending the indefensible.
On the contrary, Kenya has more DOPERS than the rest of the world put together.
Fixed
It probably started with the British/Dutch sports scientist who took over Kenyan athletics in the late 50's.
You can't have your cake and eat it.
No foreigners, no peds, no Kenyan successes.

I would guess that the USA has tens of thousands of professional sportsmen and women, distributed over dozens of sports.
Kenya has maybe 200 or 300 (most earning just enough to pay their Italian agent's fees) and nearly every one a distance runner.
3 out of 9 of the Kenyans under 1:44.5 in 17/18 now busted.
4 out of the 7 male finalists from 400 to 5000 at London 2017 now busted.
Olympic champions and world record holders busted.
All despite a still abysmal and corrupt anti-doping system.
I forgot to+1 your post YMMV.
Anyone have any guesses as to who this athlete is if it's not Kipketer?
'Fairly well known' would suggest somebody higher than Kipketer but not a star like Rudisha or Kipchoge.
Even a world champion like Manangoi is only 'fairly well known'.
Pure comedy.
Should put a weekly 'run away from testers' in the generic Kenyan training program nowadays cause it's happening so much.
Sport has been killed.
