I think a hair transplant would depend on a few things, like if you are relatively young, single and you really lack confidence. Baldness is a natural phenomenon and there are so many guys now with a shaved head that a bald guy really doesn't stand out. But, it will stand out if you are hyper-aware of it and it's psychologically not something you can cope with. It's not worth being miserable about if you can't deal with it - so if you can't, then accept you can't and go ahead and spend the 10k or so to get a hair transplant. You have to know yourself and your weaknesses.
If I eventually go bald I think I won't care, but maybe it will bother me. If I can't get over it I'm not going to sit around being miserable, I'll do something about it. But, right now, I feel like I would feel more embarrassed getting a hair transplant than accepting hair loss. Especially if I was like older than 40, then who cares.
