My buddies and I are headed to watch the trials. I'll be there from Friday to Sunday. I wouldn't mind getting in a good long run BQ on Sunday, and if anyone wants me to help pace them to a 2:55-3:00 Marathon, just pay my entry fee for the Publix Marathon on Sunday and let's do it. If for some reason I fail at my pacing duties(can't finish under 3), I'll refund the money. I'm not responsible for you falling off pace, but we can situate a good race plan. I may be up for tackling a more ambitious goal, but no guarantees I can finish in your time. I ran 1:14:27 half in 2019, among other races. My goal at 2019 Boston was sub 2:40 and I bonked, only finishing 3:18, rough day. The BQ prior to that was a more relaxed and evenly paced 2:54:59 at Via Marathon. Which is what I'm looking to do again with whatever race works around my schedule for the Spring. Also, I'm in the lottery for NYC Marathon where I'll attempt a sub 2:40 again, but that's too late for 2021 BQ. I am currently in the middle of my spring training. Today's workout was 7 mile tempo @ Marathon Pace. I averaged 5:59 and felt good. I will provide my full training history, if anyone is actually interested in pacing.
Thanks, hope we can work something out.
