I was wondering when another Jim Walmsley thread was going to pop up.
I predict he will run with over confidence and burn himself out before he even sets foot at trials.
1:05:52
He is tired from all these 175 mile weeks.
I predict a most tremendous run. 1:01:52
61:xx for walmsbro
No way he runs 61:xx. I’m a big fan of Walmsley, but nothing in his workouts he’s been running indicates he can run a 61.
I’d say he’s still in the 64-65 minute range.

The fanboys are wonderful. You have to admire their optimism based on what exactly?
1:03:39 ultra and trail geeks go nuts and predict 2:07 for the trials

Based on the Walmsley factor byatch!
No matter what time he runs, everyone will find something to roar about.
I heard he was knocking out 200+ mile weeks. ?
I predict that the HM world record may be in jeopardy!
No idea, but whatever he runs you guys still won't shut up about this guy. Either he runs a poor time because he hasn't started tapering yet or he runs a great time and he's a threat to make the team. Both scenarios get a bunch more letsrun threads.
Tons of guys who are entered in the Trials are racing halfs this weekend. I know for a fact some (and imagine, most) are doing them more as workouts and less as all out, balls to the walls races. 10 miles at MP, fast finish for last 5K.
Who knows if he's racing hard or using it as a workout. I'll throw a random guess of 1:03:33
I will go for 1:04:00, but this time as a workout.
Walmsley will have some tough competition.
NAZ Elite runners Ben Bruce, Scott Fauble, Scott Smith and Sid Vaughn are running the RnR Arizona Half. Scott, Scott and Sid all have faster half PRs than Walmsley and are training for the Marathon OTs.
What a joke. Wallmsley is an embarrassment to this "sport" and this country.

Scott Smith (10)
Wilkerson Given (15)

Jim Walmsley (242*) - Qualified with an "A" HM time, an "A" M time ranks 64th
There is prize money for the top 5 finishers and bonuses for beating specific time standards with the winner getting $4K.
