Question in title. My aim was to get my body using fat for fuel on all of my training runs. I run in the morning on empty stomach then I eat keto diet from 12pm-9pm, a 9 hour window for intermittent fasting. But will raising my glycogen stores the week of my marathon destroy the keto fat burning ability I've cultivated? Likesay if I eat a bunch of carbs the morning of the marathon will my body still use fat for fuel during the race? I guess I don't understand whether the fat is being used before the glycogen, or once the glycogen runs out my body turns to fat for fuel.
