Did he have pacemakers?

there were pacemakers. not sure if they did help much.
Kiprop, Kipsang, Kipruto.
It was nice to see a road record where they weren't jumping across curbs on the corners, like in Berlin.
And I also think this is a world record for a dude wearing his shorts backwards.
Is he doped? Who cares? The Vaporfly crowd has no issue wearing pogo sticks.
I mean they're right about the marathon increases, it's obvious

Is the second half of this race downhill?
not exactly. There is a Strava segment for this race.
https://www.strava.com/segments/19677570
Thanks for that. So kind of yes actually. 0-5000m there is an elevation gain of 10m and then 5000m-10,000m there is an elevation drop of 10m.
Yes there are a few peaks and troughs across the race but that is the rough average elevation.

He beat Cheptegei’s WR today in Valencia with no pacers, no vaporflys. Absolute beast!

How does he do it? I mean , what does his training look like? I know his coaches are brother O`Connell in cooperation with a Kenyan coach I just forgot the name of. I know a little about O`Connell`s methods from a young talented South African runner I coach and what he told me during about two months coached by O`Connell .Anyway I know out from my own experience that there are some definitive requirements when it comes to the paces in training to run 26:24 at 10k. So the paces in training that Rhonex must have done are maxVO2- intervals at 60-61 sec / 400m , LT- intervals and tempos at around 2: 45- 2:50 min/ km and easy distance runs at around 3:45 min/ km ( 6 min mile pace) , sometimes faster and sometimes slower after hard sessions the day before. This is the kind of requirements when it comes to paces in training that is a must to be able to run 26 :24 .
Why does Kiprutos head look disfigured and swollen?

He looks normal

Rhonex's stride is so compact, strong, and efficient. Phenomenal talent
look at the hips and core, plus feet and ankles as opposed to westerners, who are consticted relatively speaking,
that is where you want to improve .

I like Wanders' stride. Was he tought this or was he coached into a stride like that?
Very slight forward lean (almost vertical line between hip and shoulders), high back lift, long air time, contact (on heel/midfoot) under COG, takeoff at toe.
Rinse repeat.
This is actually how most kids run
Westerners, especially of late have taken to fads as a way of improving/getting less injuries, eg forefoot/barefoot/hoka etc etc
Just run more and run faster and the efficiency will improve

Because he raced 5000m only one time in his life?
Did you see the race?
He crashed out , and closed last lap in 59 seconds, getting smashed by Jakob and Gebriwhet and finishing far far away.
Did you see the race? It was a tactical affair. He got killed in the last lap because he doesn't have good closing speed like Jakob and Hagos. He's easily capable of sub 12:55 in the right race.

Your existence is irrelevant. We know that.
Then why do you respond? Kenyan doping obviously something you and so many other blind fans don't want to face.

Don't come crying to me when he's busted like all your other heroes.
Hey Cleo. If that does indeed happen it will bring down his coach, a certain Bro Colm, who, for reasons that escape me and that are not obvious at all, Letsrun and other Western haters of Kenyans consider trustworthy.
Do you think it could have something to do with the number of Colm coached runners that have been pinged?
How many was it again?

That one wasn't set with vaporfly 4%'s either! I'm starting to think these shoes aren't all they're cracked up to be.
He was wearing the Takumi Sens.
I saw Adida s Running confirm that under a comment on the IG acc of Kipruto.
I assume he was wearing the Takumi Sen 5 since if you look at the colors of the heelcup, the Sen 6 has a bright orange heelcup (on the bright ornage shoes of course (in both editions , 6s amd 5s)) and the 5s have a white heelcup, just like the ones he is seen in the photo when he finishes the race.

No, it’s not that. Try again.
Kipruto will dominate for years. The most talented runner to come from the stable of brother Colm.
I should add... at that age.

Kiprop and Kipsang were very talented runners.
I wonder how many extolling Kipruto's achievement would put money on his being clean, or be prepared to swear it on their mother's grave.
