Double standard. A person on the field of play, or course, should expect and be prepared for spontaneous displays of physical aggressiveness. When adrenaline’s flowing men can’t be held responsible for its effects.

Guys can you not seriously get the fact that women have been sexually abused and assaulted buy men in an overwhelming majority of the cases and to a staggeringly high proportion
You don't legitimately get the fact that there are like 400,000 sexual assaults against women every year in the u.s. alone
And 20 million women in the US have been raped or attempted to be raped
And you seriously don't get the fact that as a man you're not allowed to go around slapping women on the ass
Of course there's a different standard in this incident because the guy who got slapped in the ass has no fear of being sexually assaulted by football players and he's not trying to send a message about what sort of behavior is Over The Line
If he wanted to I'm sure he could get someone to reprimand the football player and apologize to him if he was really bothered by the whole thing. But clearly he can probably just brush it off cuz rape and sexual assault aren't a significant factor in his life in terms of what he might have to deal with happening to him
Come on guys we all have brains that can probably find legitimate double standards and things that need to be addressed.
So if you don't get it, one more time, as a guy don't go around slapping women who you don't know on the ass. Even if it's a race or a sporting event don't go around slapping random women on the ass. Just a good general rule to follow

Wrong. Best figure out how to manage your "adrenaline".

Exactly. The intent was very different . I don't see this guy up for assault charges although the cameraman didn't look happy.
I've got to give it to the original poster for finding this clip in light of the news woman on the bridge incident.
I also agree but I am wary of the new age we live in now. I have never been the butt slapper type anyway.
I don’t accept or give any contact to my athletes past the fist pump. It works out. It’s not necessary anyway to go around grabbing, patting, and touching people.
You pump your thletes with your fist?!?
So, because women are the more probable victims of sexual violence, it’s only acceptable to slap men on the ass? How about just don’t slap any strangers or acquaintances on the ass?
A reporter at a public gathering doesn’t have much fear of being sexually assaulted. Having a fear of being sexually assaulted is not what determines whether or not you were sexually assaulted.
One in six boys are sexually abused before the age of 18. But those victims “can probably just brush it off cuz rape and sexual assault aren’t a significant factor in [their lives]”.
Here’s a better rule. Don’t invade someone’s personal space unless they’ve already made clear that they’re comfortable with it.
who cares?
Why take the time to do all that and completely miss the point of my post
The point of my post was in response to the question of whether there's a double standard
In other words people were arguing hypocrisies and also implying that the original woman was a crybaby
Seriously, how can show the competence to do all this pasting and responding yet be clueless when it comes to the basic theme
The basic point I was expressing was that the original woman is Justified in having a much stronger reaction and taking legal recourse because of the statistics, culture, klymit, and history
If the guy in this case wanted to I would have no problem with it and wasn't arguing anything about that
Again the whole post was about the fact that people are claiming a double standard and calling the original woman a cry baby
It's weird that you couldn't get that and wasted all that time
Never once did I say the football player here was in the right and that the cameraman didn't have a right to be pissed off about it
And the cameraman isn't a boy under the age of 18 he was a 40 year old man
What are the statistics on 40 year old men being sexually assaulted compared to women
The camera man is welcome to press charges.
This was already posted. . This guy stole my moment having a hot thread! Shun the non believer.
OMG, you are an ignorant woman. Why don't you go some real research and wake up instead of just being woke? Real Wikipedia at least:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_by_genderYou sound really upset that you aren't freely allowed to slap asses.
Who's talking about Spain? And who was talking about heterosexual couples?
You incels and men's liberation fighters have destroyed this board.

I'm pointing out that the actual numbers of reported men and women's sexual assaults are roughly equal and this is the response of the women here:
https://v.redd.it/8qvaqsfuwca41One picture trumps all your wordshttps://www.wpr.org/uw-la-crosse-student-who-reported-professor-sexual-harassment-speaks-out Look at that grin of power...
A double standard taken from the incident of the football player slapping the camera man would be if it was O.k. for black males to harm innocent white males, but not for white people to harm innocent black males.
What Trump?
Professor Sexual Predator got what was coming to him.
So you take my original post out of context
Then you cite some studies about heterosexual couples in Spain
What are you even trying to argue?
If your point is that no one should be mistreated we're in agreement
If your point is that no one should be slapping anyone they don't know and can logically assume would not appreciate it on the ass then we're in agreement
If you think that this example of the football player shows that the original woman reporter from the race was wrong for pressing charges then you're an idiot
If you think that grown men are sexually victimized as often as women then you are also a complete idiot
Actually that would probably make you Way Beyond an idiot but hey who's counting

Jesus bro you're out to lunch
Do you even understand the statistics you cited have to do with vague responses about the behavior of couples and relationships
Those responses have nothing to do with real sexual assault
Do you have any idea how disproportionate the amount of violent sexual assault is between men and women
You can't be that Clueless?
It'll be like saying there was as many white slaves when slavery was going on in the United States as there were black slaves....
Humans have a long history of men subjugating women in societies. The United States falls squarely into this trend.
There IS a double standard because the standards men with power have created throughout the centuries have harmed and oppressed women. The denial of rights and exposure to physical violence and emotional abuse have been sanctioned by the state and other institutions that have granted disproportionate power to men.
It is not difficult to see that a man slapping an unsuspecting women on the butt carries a significantly different weight and meaning than a man or woman slapping a man's butt.
That's not so difficult to understand, but I suppose this thread will continue for page upon page of insecure men to vent their underdeveloped understanding of gender relationships.
