I get angry at Boston marathon cheaters because I have tried about 5times now without succeeding now!
Hopefully people will keep catching and shaming the cheaters so they will never do that again (for their cheating (maybe stealing the qualifying spot from another clean, hardworking non-cheating amateur athlete) but not gossiping about their (nonrunning related) private life).
Marathon seems already a potentially "dirty sport". Where is the sportmanship? Why does these elite endurance athletes have "asthma", need heart medication, testosterone cream a.s.o. Very suspicious and seems unnecessary/unnatural.
I have "PRd" on the marathon with about 50min also (from about 4h(but it was horrible first marathon mostly forced walking, taking a "short break" at aid stations (eating chocolates, bananas, tomatoes, having a drink) stretching etc after 15k) to3h10min on the 2nd marathon). But all my best times estimates me at higher ability (just all out efforts using gps watch without not much specific training, except for the HM race) from 1k to HM puts me at about 2h40-2h55min "marathon ability"(My garmin watch usually est. me at 2h39min-2h50min capability during peak shape...)
Also if "first time" amateur BQ people could get a "first time priority" that would be GREAT (seems fair to me)
(instead of the 2h55min marathoner who have run Boston 5+ times gets their spot again...For the one who qualify the first time(maybe even lives in hot, humid country with very poor outdoor air quality, so very challenging training conditions and limited running ability a.o.) it could be a VERY big deal to just BQ once).
