Has anyone posted the pics yet? She’s looking thiccc af. I’d smash, but there are no elite runners who have love handles hanging over their shorts like she does.
You're hardly a prize yourself.

Do we know what she is doing besides running? Assuming she is un-sponsored now so I wonder if she has a full time job and running is more secondary at this point.
To my knowledge unclear. She’s an instructor at mile high run club and i don’t know what else.
Mary Cain post race interview here
Using typical left wing catch phrases for people who don't take responsibility. Somebody can weigh 800 pounds but say that they are beautiful. I hope Cain is happy but I get the feeling that she thinks she is still world class and that she has a huge platform.
Yeah, those are feel-good amateur psychology tricks to avoid facing the truth of contraints and responsibility. You are not as powerful as anyone else. There are people faster, smarter, younger, richer, better looking, ... You can do your best with what you get, the right way.
Cain is older and out of shape, with a strike against employment after the immature weight comments. She looks good, and I bet she can do well with some kind of career.
I think she is trying to gain some type of job as a spokesperson. But for who? Oiselle? Weight Watchers? NYRR? Nike? Or maybe she can get some paid gigs at various events but the money would be trivial.
...or maybe NYRR put a camera in front of her and asked her if she would like to post an uplifting New Year message.
I'm sorry you feel that the phrases Cain used were "typical left wing." I'm sorry anyone would have any objection to them at all.
You never know what phrase will be objectionable.

Does Mary Cain even need to run national class times to be worthy of a large fanbase at this point? I mean there was a point when Dean Karnazes was the most popular runner in the USA. Surely Mary Cain has more star power than Dean Karnazes.
The sport is a joke right now with the Vaporfly bs, the constant busts and suspicions, and “Lord Coe” randomly demolishing events with a wrecking ball. Ultimately, it is up to each of us to decide what is inspiring and entertaining. Mary Cain is both.
Agree very strongly with your points. Maybe this attitude is what can take the sport forward in a positive direction and stop money from being funnelled to the dopers when the sport's organizers realize that the dopers have few fans. Kawauchi's pretty cool too.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
