If you take the base line on doping convictions as this :
1. Sprinter says positive test from intense kissing . Reverse suspension.
2. 800 meter runner, steroid from In and out Burger . Reverse suspension
This is going nowhere . all politics .

In countries where doping is criminalized it works as a parallel system to the antidoping sports system. The criminal system can impose fines and/or sentences and can use police/subpoenas/search warrants/etc. to investigate doping. The current antidoping system remains responsible for adjudicating and suspending people from sporting events. The standards under the WADA code remain intact. I'm against criminalizing doping because it is ineffective (doesn't work currently) and uses resources better put to other things, but you should at least be knowledgeable enough for your support or disapproval to be based on facts.

But they will be subject to U.S. laws when in the U.S. to run Boston, NYC, Pre, LA Olympics. Gotta start somewhere.
So the next time Russia hosts the Olympics, they could do likewise and pass a law to imprison Americans, right?
The only chance Russia will ever host another Olympics is if they truly get their act together. And if they truly have their act together, then they will be righteous in putting any foreign dopers in prison (including Americans).
You're an imbecile. The difference between Russian doping and American doping is that in Russia, it's the government that is sponsoring it. In the US, it's bad apples trying to evade the authorities. Your example of Marion Jones shows how ignorant you are... she was literally busted (indirectly) by the FBI (the FBI raided Victor Conte's BALCO labs and her name was on the lists alongside people like Regina Jacobs, Barry Bonds, etc.) Then all these baseball steroid using MFers were hauled in front of Congress for an inquiry (which at the time was viewed as a diversion of public attention because the US was still reeling from 9/11.)
You're reading too much propaganda from RT News and Maria Lasitskene if you think that the Russian government isn't sponsoring doping.
Wish LRC could do a better job screening out russian trolls...

Exactly. There are actually some role models, like Germany/Austria (Aderlass) and Spain (Aden), that show how advantageous police involvement can be in getting cheats out of the sport, which is why I am in favor of it.
Of course the IAAF remains opposed, for ultimately it would reduce their power, slow down the sport and show once more how dirty it is.
Last but not least, countries where doping is criminalized will likely end up with fewer dopers and thus fewer medals. Advantage (currently) US and UK.

Are you really sure? You remember that old saying about the person that screams the loudest often is the one with something to hide? Like how Lance Armstrong used to be so outspoken about Anti-Doping?
Just stop, dude. Russia is shady as hell, as is everyone from there. No one is swayed by your beating the drum defending those scumbags

Nope, not so, Armstrong was never "outspoken about Anti-doping." He talked about it a lot, because he was asked about it a lot. He never was a campaigner for obvious reasons, and it wasn't something he brought up unprompted.
And no, that is not an old saying.

Right. If they called us out for our doping, we'd simply drop a few nuclear bombs on Moscow.
Are you really that stupid.
Unfortunately, going by his track record here, it is plausibility.

Exactly, Asbel Kiprop wanted cheats imprisoned.

Lolz. And Paula Radcliffe wanted more transparency, until people wanted to see her values. Now she is pro privacy. Lolz.
Which BTC athletes and coaches should be in jail now . Molly has a good idea . Kara and the Clean Sport group had no comment on Shelby.
Molly , Radcliffe ,Kara Goucher have all stayed away from commenting on the BTC doping . The only person that spoke out against the Shelby case was Molly S .
I'm 100% for criminalization of doping. We need to ensure no one is doping and this gets us closer.
No way are you crazy?Do you really want to see your favorite athletes run slower?Do you realize how boring our sport would be if doping was stopped .
