I'm pretty sure they would win...
by how much?
Would it be like a 1-2-3-4-5 or 5 in the top 10 or what?

Would rich kids that want to run a lot be able to run faster if they didn’t need to take college classes? Yes. Who cares? No one.
They can win club nats and stuff like that, and they should be happy about it. Their glory days will be slightly more recent than the high school and college jock has-beens.
I’m no Tinman hater. I like them, and I like what they’re doing, but practically no one cares. Running is a self inflicted torture and addiction that will be appreciated only by the individual. For that reason, every runner can relic in their own personal glory days, and every runner can achieve those personal glory days at any age. No one will earn enough money to retire from running.
The margin between Tinman Elite and NCAA kids is much closer than any other professional sport and NCAA though.
2/10
So in your opinion it would make for a better story if the tin men were broke AF, living in a van down by the river..? Do you only relish in the accomplishments of those from Appalachia or the ghettos of NYC ..?
These guys are doing what you’d be doing if you had, #1 some talent, #2 ambition.
Child please.
The average 40-something hobbyjogger can get just as much satisfaction from running as semi-pro kid who spends a couple years “living the dream” in Boulder as a trust fund baby who gets some free shoes, Neither are anywhere close to the elite level of professional athletes who can earn a living by performing 100x the level of college kids.
Don’t forget Alan Webb living in Appalachian poverty
Ignoring the background of this.
Sure, Tinman would do well in NCAAs, but they would have some other kids in the top 5.
They are slightly better than college kids because they run for a living and they are the most dedicated few of those who were running in college. They should be better.
This argument is nothing like the “best college football team vs. worst pro football team” argument. In that case, the pros would always demolish the college kids, no doubt about it.
If it was all college runners vs. Tinman Elite, would Tinman Elite win? Maybe not. It’s pretty close.

#3 mommy and daddy didn’t care if I got a real job and let me play for a few years.
Yes. Yes I would.

So, you are an adult and live for your mother and father’s approval..? This folks is what’s wrong with this place. Here’s a good hint; Do what the F you want, when you want; stop being a pusey you f***ing puppet.

Lol
This is okay. Very risky strategy that may not allow you to retire before death, but you may chase short-term pleasure with disregard for responsibility. The wealthy will attempt to subsidize your lack of preparation, but you will need to live humbly late in life.
What does this have to do with Tinman? They would perform modestly well at NCAAs. If they were considered a team, they may win, but they may not. Kind of sad for a group of professionals competing against amateurs.
lol ...
You worry about retirement at age 23-33 ..? Life is what you wanna do with it ... Stop being a puppet and actually live your own life... You give me a brain cramp just thinking about your tight rules and expectations.
They would lose. DQ’d for uniform violation.
They'd easily win NCAAs. The top guys can hang with them but no single team has the talent to beat them. Templeton was 5th in XC last year. I'd rank Hunter, Parsons, and Pearson ahead of him and Templeton is very good, underrated even. I didn't expect him to run this well so soon after college.
If they couldn’t win they should remove the term elite from their name. Which begs the question should it be Tinman Sub Elite?

The tinman crew is a bunch of trust fund babies and their parents are paying to support them because they aren't making enough money to support themselves. Eventually the parents will cut them off.
Could they beat the best NCAA team ever?
No.

Minus Drew Hunter, who is making even more than the average Letsrunner that makes $250K/year.
Are any of them older than the oldest BYU scoring runner?
I don't even know who runs for Tinman Elite or anything about the team. Based on that, they must not have any runners on the global stage. They might be able to win NCAAs in a weak year, but it won't be a blowout.
