Wonder where Jesuit, CA team would’ve placed if they got an at-large. California teams go 1, 2, 8. Newbury Park and Great Oak delivered. Dana Hills exceeded expectations even though their #1 runner for most of the season was #3 in team order. Congrats to all on an amazing season!
You're saying Temecula didn't?

Eastwood holding onto the bottom 2 years running....They will never get an at large bid again
The committee doesn't know what they are doing.
They probably merged the TX state meet and thought Eastwood was the best team, when they were definitely not. Can you imagine? Merging a TX state meet when races are separated by a few hours? Stupid.
I knew Eastwood didn't deserve it.
But then again, this is the same committee that didn't give the Woodlands an invite in 2017/2018, after they finished 8th in 2016. That same Woodlands team was the best team all year long and even won state both years--- and they didn't get an invite, and I'm pretty sure 2017 was the year I thought The Woodlands would have finished top 10 (again).
Go figure:
-Invite a team that finished 22nd the last year and "won" a state meet merge.
-Don't invite the team that finished 8th the previous year, won almost every meet including the biggest state classification, and don't give an invite.
That year, FM finished 14th and SLC 19th. The Woodlands team when they ran well were so far ahead of both squads. I remember that year when at the Nike South Invitational (not NXN Regionals), they put 6 guys in front of Flower Mounds #3.
What are you talking about? Reread, “Newbury Park and Great Oak delivered.” Take your hurt feelings somewhere else please.

The last place team had a :14 spread, proving the meaningless statistic.
Mounds View had literally the exact same spread at Heartland, and won by 52 points. No boys teams from HL finished in last. Proved many of us wrong.
Schoppe was #2 all-time for 5k but remember, Nico is a #1 all-time 3-mile time and Methner has #2 all-time 3-mile time.
Love that clip of Touhy where as soon as she crosses finish line in first, she immediately turns back to see how her teamates are faring.
She's claiming she'll go out more conservatively this year

I watched the meet. She waited and greeted several athletes from other teams as well. She stayed until the officials who escort the top ten came and got her. Very nice to see humility from such an elite.
How much does Nike pay to completely destroy this golf course every year?
And theyre off!
course is soaked!
Touhy and Walters right to the front
“And Wasting no time” like Nico Young
Kinetic girls insanely hard first 300 meters.
Looks like a conservative start from Tuohy.
3:11 1K
Touhy, Sydney Thor and Walters Top 3.
top runners all there
Tuohy with a 3-4 meter gap to Walters, Thorvaldson, small gap to Starliper Hart Ewert
