Yeah, not sure how I feel about the coach being the one to hold the trophy up there with them. Let the kids have their moment.

Quigley was PAINFUL to watch do interviews. Cringe factor off the charts.
South/TX results (oof):
12 ANTHONY MONTE - 15:17
15 RYAN SCHOPPE - 15:20
26 JUDSON GREER - 15:36
36 ABRAHAM AVILA-MARTINEZ - 15:41
Looks like Ryan Schoppe did really blow up. Greer probably did as well, as I recall seeing him with Schoppe or near him for the first mile. Not sure if the early quick pace destroyed them, or the weather. Schoppe beat Monte by 25 seconds at state, and 17 at Nike South regionals. I honestly thought with the quicker pace here and the challenge, he could boost that margin a little possibly.
Carroll maybe 13th
Woodlands maybe 16th
Eastwood last... I swear, the committee never listens. I'm a biased Texas poster and I have always said when I think a Texas team deserved a bid. This year no TX team did (except if the FM girls didn't have their #1 out to injury). I knew inviting Eastwood was a mistake.
Yeah Great Oak would’ve won if Chris Verdugo didnt struggle today. Was their last runner
where is loudon valley
Monte the best runner in Texas!!! Nice.
Crozet with a great performance today finishing 5th and ahead of LV
what happened to Easton Allred? Still injured? He started in 20th then moved down to 26th then 38th. Running fully healthy he could have been in front of Aschbrenner to be 3rd in the team scoring, maybe even in front of Ohlson to be 2nd. He was 10th in the team scoring

Haha, isn't it crazy?
He lost Friday Night Lights to Jarrett Kirk
He lost Marcus I to Greer (1st) and Jarrett Kirk
He probably had a bad race at McNeil, where he finished 7th (Kirk won)
He lost Regionals to Ryan Cardinal.
He lost State to Schoppe.
He lost Nike South to Schoppe & Greer.
But at the national meet, he had the best race of his life/the other Texas guys bombed out. He did good.
Still coming down hard!

Should have been either Franklin OR or Jesuit CA receiving the at-large bid

I think she's doing fine.
Easton fell on the top of a hill
Eastwood holding onto the bottom 2 years running....They will never get an at large bid again

Its the Va. team coached by the Hunters.
Wonder where Jesuit, CA team would’ve placed if they got an at-large. California teams go 1, 2, 8. Newbury Park and Great Oak delivered. Dana Hills exceeded expectations even though their #1 runner for most of the season was #3 in team order. Congrats to all on an amazing season!

GO spread only 10 seconds! They really had an interesting team this year with 5 or 6 guys that were essentially interchangeable.
Not to belabor the point, but its still a downpour there. Going to be tough to pick your way through unless you are out front and have a decent sightline.
How could Schoppe lose the race? He is the #2 all-time high school boy!
The last place team had a :14 spread, proving the meaningless statistic.
