I'm surprised that only one person has mentioned WVN's 400m WR in an Oly final from the outermost lane

From a fan's perspective, it has to be an upset to be one of the greatest. And it has to be someone I follow closely to be really thrilling, so apologies to our international guests.
Solinsky AR 10,000
Centro 1500 Gold
Simpson 1500 Gold
Coburn 3000 Gold
Honorable mention:
Bekele Paris debut
Bekele Berlin
Jager sub-8:00 heartbreaker
Drew Hunter indoor championship
When you do post the bracket, would you include a brief summary of the race so that casual fans like myself don't overlook any due to ignorance?
Another vote for Great Northern Geb/ Farah/ Bekele. Not a world record, or world championship, or major, but an all-time-great nonetheless.
It might be worth analyzing how many races you get in the final bracket from each year. Obviously Olympic years will overpower non-WC years, but you don't want too much recency bias in there.
Forgot to add.
Re: Seeding
How about you take a tally of how many times each race is mentioned in this thread to seed them?
I don't know the specific traffic numbers but (based on the small sample size of my friends) I have to imagine there are a lot more people coming to the front page for their running news than there are venturing into the message boards. You can use the message board community as an informal seeding committee?

Was Geb vs. Farah vs. Bekele at the Great Northern on the list?
+1
Bekele had been hurt forever. Mo Farah is the double Oly Champion whose face says it all.
Jo Pavey winning the 10000 at the European Champs 2014. First gold medal, at 40(!), and without a doubt clean. Inspiring run.
Hard to say which race was best in 2010s.
White: Eh. Some good, some bad
Black/African-American: Eh. Some good, some bad
Pacific Islander? Eh. Some good, some bad
Asian? Eh. Some good, some bad
American Indian/Alaskan Native: Eh. Some good, some bad
Hispanic/Latino: Eh. Some good, some bad
I think you need a Footlocker Championship either the Verzbicas or Cheserek one (or both)

Two 20-somethings stomping high schoolers in a high school race isn’t drawing enough fanfare for your taste?

In the spirit of the time I wanna nominate the guys who held hands to 19:xx 5k PRs at the WCs this year. So much more important than the Derek Redmond heartbreak.
Breaking 2 lol
2017 WC 10k
DL Brussels 5k where selemon bargea ran like 12:43
Cheserek vs Lawi Lalang in NCAA 5k final
Jim walamsley’s Western States record
I nominate Kincaid, Lomong and Centrowitz from the Bowerman showdown this past summer.

A major turning point for our country to Make American Great Again
It was a major turning point but not for the better.
The men's 2012 UK indoor 2 mile with Kipchoge, Farah, Tariku Bekele had great depth with a great finish.
The 2019 Worlds Women's 400 M hurdles surely has to be top 64, how is that not on the list?
That was an awesome race between Dalilah and Sydney, and World Record to top it off.

Yes, of course. Will also try to include YouTube clips of race video when available.
Will look over all the suggestions so far and make some changes. Clearly the 2013 Great North Run should be in the bracket.
Get rid of all the High School races.
None of them mean anything.
And, there are far too many marathons being nominated.
No matter how fast the guy runs, very, very few are actually close RACES.
No cross races?
The 2010s started January 1, 2011 and end December 31, 2020. That is just a feature of our counting system, which begins with 1 and ends at 10, not 0-9.
Best races:
1. Hassan runs 3:51 to win gold in 2019.
2. Farah loses 2017 5000m.
3. Farah wins 2017 10000m.
4. Farah loses to Kejelcha at Doha. The harbinger of how you beat Farah.
5. Bekele runs 2:01:40 at Berlin in 2019.
6. Brazier wins 800m gold in 2019.
7. Rudisha wins gold in London in 2012.
8. Makh Daddy wins gold in London in 2012.
9. Coburn wins gold/Frerichs silver in London in 2017.
10. Centro wins outdoor gold in Rio in 2016.
