Hello all,
I was thinking the other day, what kinds of times should someone have ran in the 10K, 10mile, HM in order to have a crack at a 2:30 Marathon?

Check the Jack Daniels Vdot tables
It really depends on the type of runner. When I ran 2:29:41 in the fall of 2015 I had run 1:09:44 for the half marathon in the spring and around 52:00 for the 10 mile. However, there are plenty of guys who run 1:11-1:12 halfs who can run a 2:28. The marathon has a lot to do with fueling, glycogen storage, as well as overall fitness.
By the way, I was running 90-105 mpw for about a 3 month cycle before my goal race. Only managed a 1:11 half and then a 32:06 10K two weeks before the marathon.
