For myself this made the shoes uneven, basically one shoe's zoom unit had gone down the other went only in another area made the shoes unrunnable because of being uneven.
I ended up giving them away to a person who used them for paint shoes. Something to consider if you live in the dark bitter cold Midwest: 1.) Winterized Pegasus editions. The tacky rubber they use is a game changer and the wind-chill coming off the big lake doesn't ice your toes when you have over an hour to go.
2.) Micro down puff jacket. Doesn't have to be the latest Patagonia, etc. I'm always running in dark Some nights/mornings the chill@5 degrees just lingers too long through a "running jacket." A micro puff jacket is light enough and keeps the comfort to make training consistent.
