Ran the 10k-39:34 on thursday.
What are some strength workouts? Is that essentially longer tempos and hilly long runs? Sorry I don't know a lot about training; im on month 13 of running. 26 yo male.
I'm assuming that's miles per month? If so, that's pretty low. I don't think sub-3 is a realistic goal for you in a month or two. Next fall, totally possible.
Also, jumping to 250 miles in a month could prove detrimental to your training. You might be OK, but you also might ruin your chances of even getting to the start line.
Is this your first marathon? If so, I'd just keep doing similar training to I've been doing, then on race day I'd go out at maybe 7:10 to 7:20 pace and see what happens after mile 20.
Or, you could look for another half to run in the next 3 to 5 weeks and see how well that goes. It could help you dial in your time goal a bit more and give you some more racing experience.
