The freshman on the team average 50 to 60 miles a week with 1 double. His runners train hard and run higher mileage compared to other programs. The kids are tough and hopefully will win on Saturday.

One of the freshman phenom injured already. Not that they are training too hard or anything right?
Like no freshman was never injured before? He runs 30miles week. Crap happens, they are kids. Geeez.
The coach is doing and amazing job. Best program with constant improvement.
It’s a little soon to be talking about constant improvement. Brosnan hasn’t been at NP very long.
As for 30mpw. For sub-15 kids you figure their average pace is going to be around 6:30-6:45. That would be about 195 minutes a week or an average of less than 30 minutes a day. Highly unlikely.

They have been doing something right and that's not a secret.

Lies. The freshman do not run close to 50 miles per week. 30-40

Nico spoke about running 40 miles a week his sophomore year and his brothers being on the same path.
you cant put too much emphasis on those rankings. subjective and missing data

I don’t follow HS XC much. Which teams are contenders besides Newbury?
Great Oak and Loudoun Valley are the main two, Milesplit has Newbury Park between them (Great Oak 1st, Newbury Park 2nd, Loudoun Valley 3rd)
Corner Canyon, Dakota Ridge, CBA, F-M, and a few others are in contention as well
