One. He holds the bulb and the world revolves around him.

The posters on both sides of this "debate" are total losers. The OP's side for being salty about losing and being less gifted than others, and for caring way too much about a Turkey Trot. The Harvard kids' side for being arrogant, obnoxious, and for defending their actions on LetsRun. Shame on all of you.

This is letsrun in a nutshell. Washed up ivy leaguers aiming for low hanging fruit meant for the common man.
congrats you have not missed anything

Must be nice to be living large because of daddy's money. Daddy's money is what got you accepted to Harvard in the first place. You would be at UMass otherwise.
Maybe you're right, but either way I'm rich and am going to Harvard, right?
Harvard was 1st in the regional , 15th at NCAAs. This was a message race . Not to you but to BYU and NAU. The crimson are brash, cocky and obnoxious and they are planning on taking down the Cougars and Lumberjacks . It’s not much different than Pershing shooting Muslims in billets dipped in pig blood .

And a douche

The biggest difference is that one actually happened and the other is a myth.

I thought that this thread was started as a joke involving a nonexistent day-after-Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. Apparently, some members of the Harvard team did run in such an event and sweep the top places, but I'm still not sure which, if any, of the posts on this thread are actually serious. I'd be surprised if any Harvard students actually posted any comments attributed to them on this thread, but I suppose I could be giving some of them too much credit.

I was at the award ceremony . When one of the Harvard runners was called up for his award , he took the mic and said “ I have a message for Steve Spence . We are coming for you .” Then he dropped the ? mic.

Being a douche doesn't really matter much since I'm still rich and going to Harvard. Also, that isn't a complete sentence... You wouldn't know that since you're not attending Harvard.
All the salt on this thread bc someone didn’t win a $15 restaurant gift card with a 17:40.
Oh yeah, and their wife “would totally have dated a cute Harvard runner in college.”

Shot across the bow of the mud bloods (“blue bloods” in NCAA XC parlance). Pack up. Get wins. Eat a$$.

To some degree, these chads had all the right to compete in any race they desire. And again like others have said, a 17:40 doesn't win races all the time so always expect someone to be running faster especially because it is a turkey trot and not just any random 5k. Turkey trots draw out a lot of people big or small city. As for being Harvard, yes they are prestigious but running wise their NE Regional perf was a fluke. But sometimes you need that luck and conditions on your side which clearly they got and took full advantage of it. Grats, now do it again next year. Reporting them for running a turkey trot and taking 10$ is petty tbh. Lots of people take it and the NCAA doesn't do much about it. They're too focused on Basketball or football to care about running. Lastly, if you really cared that much about a damn turkey trot, then enter one elsewhere or get faster so you know you can win regaurdless of whos in it. I've run against college runners before too when I was younger and couldn't beat them. Got better throughout the years and can now compete with them. Anyhow we all know Harvard is not a running school by all means and are average at best. Academics wise good but athletics wise, they don't win or make noise on the national level.
You forgot 2nd at Heps. Penn now rules the Ivy League. Harvard will always be 2nd best. 15th at Nationals is great, enjoy that 15th place trophy. Oh wait, there is no 15th place trophy. But there is the Heps trophy. Too bad for you.
Non-scholarship program. Not relevant since the '50s or '60s.

No way in hell this guy actually goes to Harvard. If he does, he's going to be on the short list of failed Harvard grads. Successful people don't speak like this.
Again, we did not take the crappy awards offered. We don't need the 10 dollars or whatever it was. Maybe the OP can email the race director to soothe his insecurities.
Also, what does the word "grats" mean?

Not that short, I'd say, but maybe I just hang out with a bad crowd.
It would be advisable for Harvard students to the get the memo that being an elitist douchebag is a really, really, really unpopular way to exist on planet Earth in 2019.

Conference titles are consolation for teams that don't plan on the nattys. Enjoy the participation medal.
