The video Mo posted on Instagram shows him beating Cheptegei by a few meters in 2017. It's hard to believe he would still have that killer turnover in the final sprint, especially after being on the roads for a bit.

It is his name, genius.
And it is one of the most common names on earth.

Um........LINK?
This eerily reminds me if when Lance Armstrong came out of retirement to give The Tour another shot in 2009/2010. Narcissists just can’t help themselves.
He should attempt the 5k/10k double again. The 5k is after the 10k, so why not?

+1
Hopefully he will be busted for doping too.

"This is pathetic! It’s like he admits he has failed in the marathon and goes back down to his comfort zone."
It's called running to your strengths.
Mo Farah probably realized his maratho career was going nowhere and started to panick. It's probably it's ultimate attempt to salvage a declining career. But I think that he is underestimating the field and overestimating itself.
Last time he barely won the 10k and lost the 5k. Now, two years older and after marathon training, I see him losing both , getting a medal would be a surprise.
We all know that he is a product of industrial doping, but even Lance Armstrong lost in his comeback.

This will cement his legacy as the GOAT in racing.
Remember Lance 2.0? Coming back to the track because of greed and the need for adulation has been many an athlete's downfall. He's no longer welcome in Ethiopia. He burned his Kenyan bridges long ago. I'm curious to see where he'll set up camp, and even more interested to see how this plays out.

"GOATS" don't do that. Hope this sham is exposed and finally comes to an end. The charade has gone on long enough.

I think age is catching up with him. He will not medal.
Agreed. Barega has zero respect for him. Farah will go to the front to try and slow things down as usual, and Barega will put the hammer down.
Both of Farah's predecessors, Bekele and Geb, failed to medal in their 3rd Olympic 10000m....so it's interesting to see if Farah can break the curse. Geb was still going strong in 2003 with his world 10k performance, while Bekele ran a WL in 2011, but Farah didn't seem to have produced anything similar in 2019.
I would actually watch track if the doping cheaters Rupp, Mo and Centro get banned.
Bobblehead Paula will surely do him a solid and set him up with her old training camp connections.

I think Cheptegei, Kipruto etc. are young enough not be stunned by Farah's mere presence and they are also fast enough to get him tired before the last 4 laps.
Agreed. But with the marathon training, I wonder if his strength will give him the endurance edge he didn't have before. I'd be slightly more concerned about it being slow with 2 laps to go.

I think he will find that winning championships by running times pple run 30 years ago just doesn't cut it anymore.

It's common indeed, but that doesn't change the fact that he is named after a war lord who held black slaves, married a 5yo girl, beheaded critics etc.

Maybe he can go to Somalia? Oh, wait...
Aren’t you the idiot that said that a lot of Kipchoge’s training partners have been busted for doping? You know nothing.

He did Marathon train between titles as well. Still ran 3:28 too.

He's not a GOAT, he knows his strengths and weaknesses, like it or not he's a championship runner, was never going to be, or ever will be, a world record holder.
" "GOATS" don't do that. ", so using your bonehead theory Bolt should have run 400 at the next Olympics after retiring from the 100 and 200.
