Next woman could be Christine Ramsey, 37yo with a PB of 2.39.33 from St. Paul, 7th in 2014. In 2011 was fifth in Philly over ten miles in 56.53.

12th man, another making his debut, could be Tyler Morse. On the tenth of November just gone, was 11th at Monterey in 65.55. Previous to that, last May, in the US champs in Pittsburgh, was 25th in 67.33.
12th female may be Cristina McKnight. In Houston in January was 43rd in 78.29. This is her first marathon.

Youtuber Zach Levet is in this race too. Debut marathon, shooting for 2:19
I don’t think a 2.19 will put him in the mix of this top 18 I am doing

Next to finish could be a former world champ over 100k, Max King. Now 39yo, won in Doha 2016 in 6.27.43. Best at this classic distance was 2012 at the US Olympic trials in Houston, 19th in 2.14.36. In 2011 at the US ten mile champs in St. Paul, was 11th in 47.14.
Funny to think that 42.195 k could be too short

"Below avearage", Philip Richert,USA, will be an interesting runner with a former 2:23 best ten years ago.
Now coached by the up coming top coach JS and prepared to run sub 2:19 OTQ time.
Seriously, go away!
13th to cross the line should be Jake Schmitt, 32yo and ranked 976. Was 41st here last year in 2.18.06 but ran 8th in the Monterey half this last 10 nov in 65.13. PB’s at both distances from 2013: 2.15.09 for 7th in Minneapolis and 65.00 for the win in San Francisco.
Next woman might be another on debut: Andrea Masterson, ranked 479 as a 10000 track runner. Last sept was 16th in the US champs 20k in 1.13.32.
Next man may be Duriel Hardy on debut. Half in 66.52 in Philly in 2015 for 12th.
Fourteenth female will be, IMHO, Jen Rock. Won Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2014 in 2.39.47. Best on a course eligible for records was just this last October, 72nd in Chicago in 2.48.30.
Just finished my last research and chose my 18 and 18. Unlucky man is Sean Davidson, just couldn’t fit him in.

Thanks, the Philly course in 2015 was eligible for records but this year was not. As this CIM is not an eligible course, I could have included the later result, if you like.

Good luck with this one. There’s going to be a ton of people seeded worse than they’re expecting to perform, and a lot of people with PBs that’ll show they’ll place higher than they actually will.
Of course, you were right. I was content with my choices and most of their results. Had two on debut finish top eleven and should have included Thiel.

Fifth to finish may be Patrick Rizzo. 36yo and ranked 1507. Best when 13th at Houston in 2012 in 2.13.42. 22nd here in 2017 in 2.17.28. Took another 9.01 on top of that to complete Chicago last year. Has no really good results since 2014.
5th will not be a 36 year old that “has no really good results since 2014.”
you were correct, had him pegged too high
THird woman makes an interesting story, just from her stats. in her forties, a 16 year gap in her world athletics profile from 2000-2017. 53rd in Boston this year in 2.46.14 but the iaaf have her tenth in 2.49.03 [what!?}. Meriah Earle
