Word on the street is Brad Wick has stepped down from San Jose State and is moving to Minnesota. Their HC is a bear to work for though.
The entire DEPARTMENT is a mess. Absolute disaster. Wouldn't apply for a job there with your resume.
Benedictine has zero track staff at the moment. Could be a good opportunity for someone wanting to build their own staff.

I haven't received that yet and I'm fully expecting to so I'm guessing they're still just working through the process

That's a shame. Wick built that program from the ashes into a respectable distance running team from little resources and small numbers.

Brad is an excellent coach. He pretty much decided this was a good time to leave SJS. He'll land somewhere and build a top program.
Unless he has accepted an offer this is a terrible time to leave a job. Not much open and very little movement. I think it is more likely that after getting let go at Bosie (when his boss was fired) and likely not getting on well with the new head coach at SJSU he is disillusioned with the profession and looking to go home and do something else.

However, just to be clear, you assumed everything you wrote in that last sentence and have no idea what's going on.

What any college coach that values long term stability should be doing right now...
