You posted this on the 2019 thread referring to Northwestern State's new hire. Gabby over at ULM was a former distance runner (2:09/4:45). The posting, I believe, is a formality for her to stay full time at ULM

You are quite correct, my apologies. The distance coach for NSU ran the sprints for UL-M, but she was not hired to coach distance there.
OK Bob
Upon further review, looks like they finished 2nd at ECAC because the hurdlers choked.

You are wrong. The head coach (sprint coach) of Towson, Mike Jackson, is a great coach and a good guy. Towson should have won the CAA conference championship last outdoors but their distance runners blew it. They scored 8 points in the distance events. Delaware women won by 13 points, getting 58 points out of their distance runners.
They almost won the ECAC this outdoor season, losing by 3 points. Zero points in distance events. Towson has plenty of scholarship money in the distance events too.
Phelan's results were less than impressive, he couldn't coach mid-distance athletes to save his life. He probably butted heads with Mike Jackson as he did not have the same philosophies as Jackson.

The distance runners didn't even qualify.
Gabby is going to Towson. ULM posted full time gig because they have lost 3 coaches in 3 years over that part time job.

This is in contrast to Towson who have lost a handful of full time coaches in the few years since Jackson came in because he’s an ass.
Current openings:
Georgia State - distance. Female maybe wanted?
Towson - female hire from ULM?
Costal Carolina - distance
Texas State - distance
UNCW - HC, hire within?
Columbia - distance
WKU - distance guy left to go home
TCU- distance
UL-Monroe- full time distance
Dartmouth - HC - Sprints and jumps
Drake - Director job - Blake Bolden?
Any other updates on these positions or new openings?

Jackson is one of the most well respected coaches in the east - by his athletes and by his peers. Who the hell are you?
Perhaps you are bitter because he got a job you wanted? I doubt you've ever even met him.
I've met him and he seemed like a cool dude but i've still heard the rumors that other have. I guess only the people who have worked there will know.
You’re right on the 3 in 3 years but Gabby has convinced them to move it to full time before taking the Towson gig supposedly
Happy New Year from the East Coast!
I hope you all have as much fun as I did this evening. May you all get a great jobs and coach your athletes to fast times in the coming decade!

Only on this message board would people worship a disgraced former coach like Hadsell and hate a coach like Jackson who does everything the right way.
You sycophants are pathetic.
Hadsell Was far less disgraced than Tiger Woods, Mike Tyson, Michael Vick or any other number of people that went through public meltdowns. Like the others, he has redeemed himself and is making his comeback. The guy could coach and fun to be around.
Jackson isn’t hated by Letsrun. I know Coach Jackson from his time at Rowan. Great coach and great personality. All successful coaches have enemies. He’s won a title at Towson and will move on to an even better situation. There’s just jealous people on here that love to stir the pot.
Did something happen at Utah State? Their coaching staff doesn't appear anymore. Im sure its just a technical glitch.
I strongly disagree with your post. Your opinion is so far from the truth it’s offensive, which I’m sure you intended it to be. Anyone that really knows the Towson situation and staff knows that you are way off the mark.
Throwing title IX violations out there is a really low move. It’s common knowledge that in the university system, or any job really, that anyone at anytime can CLAIM wrongdoing or a violation but that doesn’t mean it’s true.
And you weren’t fired for performance but hey we all lie to ourselves sometimes

As a former athlete at Rowan, I was coached by Jackson. Emmit. Burg and Poison Ivy are not only wrong, but borderline slanderous. Jackson was beloved by his team. The team at Rowan had incredible success with Jackson leading the way. Following Towson since he arrived, they literally went from last to first in 2 or 3 years.
Every coach in the conference loved Jackson, he was always talking with them at meets. And the assistants at Rowan enjoyed their experiences and learned a lot.
Emmit and PoisonIvy should tell us exactly who they are and how they know Jackson. Or they should be banned for slander.
