Sounds like something Mary made up. There's no way to know what a woman texted her husband.
Mary needs to decide if she wants to be famous for her running, or for being a victim.
I hope she chooses running.

She's already chosen professional victimhood. Sad!

There's something called "looking over a person's shoulder". You should try it. You might be able to see what a person is texting.
When Mary Cain says she had waffles, bacon, and an egg before a race, do you think she's lying?
When she says she was publicly shamed for this, do you think she's lying?
When she says she tried to vomit to lose weight, do you think she's lying?
Anonymous internet posters don't have much credibility. You can't call someone a narcissist if you haven't been trained as a psychologist and haven't been able to interview her personally for a diagnosis.
The diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder is just an assembly and assessment of the narcissistic behavior traits taken in sum that someone exhibits. Furthermore, when these narcissistic behaviors dramatically influence your life, then generally it can be concluded that there is a high probability of a personality disorder, but of course this is a grey science, not an exact science.
Good post. Maybe we should have you on the podcast.
A women's coach that I talked to agreed with you (and i thought I said this on the podcast) and said in regards to point C that if they'd just let her body change and what not, she likely would have stayed the same as she was in HS at a minimum. That being said, there are so many examples of people being no where near their past in terms of the ex footlocker champs i can see why some think you'd get slower. But she was never unhealthy looking during her prime so I see why you think that wouldnt' be the case.
I'd like to know all sides of the story. If this was truly Mary having a breakdown, maybe that's sad. OTOH, if crying and dramatics were part of the Cain daily routine, I can see how her teammates would tire of it. Was the breakdown in question the first time?
Something I haven't seen addressed on any of the threads is that maybe Cain simply peaked at 16. Maybe she was destined to slow down when her body changed whether she was with Salazar or in college. I'm guessing if she'd run in college instead of turning pro and had experienced a similar slide in results, we'd all be blaming the college coach for "using her to score team points" and saying she should have gone pro when she had the chance.

Mary saw someone texting , snuck up to that person to see if the text was about her . lol . ??♂️

That would require some journalism and potentially damage to Cain’s story. Instead let’s just interview Kara and her friends.
I want to hear from the actual athletes that were there at the time. We have only heard from Cam and Dathan. Neither said anything about verbal abuse and Mary. Cam said he knew they wanted her to lose weight. Why aren’t Shannon, Jordan and Treniere interviewed?
I think Rojo believes that women should not be allowed to go pro until women have broken through some undefinable barrier or age when they are capable of actually behaving and training like a professional.
Should a first round draft QB in the NFL be allowed by "they" to let him stay at the same as level they were for many years before "they" actually get serious about evaluating their performance. Is this what you mean Rojo? Are you saying women should be treated differently than men? That seems a bit sexist.

It doesn't have to involve "sneaking up" to a person.
If they were sitting close together on a bus or at a restaurant, then a young woman could easily just take a quick glance out of curiosity.
While I agree with a couple of your points, the idea that you somehow demand that others should somehow be compelled to be interviewed is absurd.

"professional code holds that if they haven't performed an in-person evaluation, psychiatrists should keep quiet on the mental character of public figures... 'I think offering semi-psychological interpretations is a poor idea for psychologists and psychiatrists,' said Arthur Caplan, a bioethicist at New York University's Langone Medical Center."
None of us trust an anonymous internet poster to make a psychological diagnosis. Period.
Good points to really remind people especially me of c.
Mary still thinks she can be a good runner so I’m putting her in c or a. But there is a big difference between the two and to be a pro you need to be all c.
You say she can run low 4s in her mid twenties. That however won’t cut it as a top notch pro. Nike won’t sign you to a 7 figure deal to do that. If that’s the runner she is she should most definitely gone to college.
What about Alexa Efraimson? How would you classify her?
Koko seems to have steadily improved but her body type is different . Obviously experiences may be very different and maybe that is one big takeaway people should have.
Claudia Lane chose a very different path by going to Dartmouth this year.
Or Mary might have arranged ropes attached to Shannon's apartment roof and lowered herself upside down like in Mission Impossible so that Mary could snatch the text while peeping through Shannon's window. Do you intend to continue to speculate how Mary obtained information on Shannon's personal texts?

I’m pretty sure if Cain was looking over her shoulder to read a text clear enough, Rowbury would have known. Phones are small and to be that close to read a text (unless Rowbury was asleep or left her phone somewhere), she would have seen Cain looking. That’s why it’s kind of hard for me to believe that Cain knew what Rowbury was texting her husband.

Your reasoning is absurd .

You're right.
I'm a person who's always making disparaging remarks about someone by text. My modus operandi is to always do what you suggest, sometimes I even ask the person I'm texting about to input it for me just to make sure they get the message.
Perhaps Shannon's husband told her?
Putin?

You are wrong. Phones are huge. I can read other people's texts when I am on the bus. Its's mostly about who needs to do what before dinner. Back in 2015 maybe only Samsungs were huge. We need to find out whether Shannon is an apple or android person.
