The only teams holding money for full scholarship for her are those she has been talking with most likely 2 to 4 times a month for many months if not for a year or longer. Each coach would have asked her months ago what her final 3 to 5 teams are and likely have some idea where they rank.
It is too late to suggest what schools she should attend. She should be down to 2 or 3 if she intends to sign NLI during the early period which is Nov 13 -20th. So either we will know by the 20th or she can wait until the later signing period.
Reactions here in the forum will be interesting if she decides to hold off on signing or going pro until this spring.
I assume many or most coaches give out any extra money left over after all are signed to those already on the team. One coach I know will give out additional money to athletes that performed above what their current level scholarship would indicate. As an example an athlete may not have been a top recruit when they signed but now are scoring points at conference or NCAAs so they deserve a higher percentage of scholarship. If they are All-Americans then they may deserve a full scholarship.
Some teams may not be offering a full scholarship offer for each year for 4 years to all the elites they recruit. Stanford offered a girl who finished top 10 at Footlocker & top 15 at NXN just 25% for 1st year, 50% for 2nd, 75% for 3rd, and 100% for 4th. They may offer Tuohy full for 4 years but don't assume they or other schools offer 100% for four years to all the elites they recruit. Oregon is another school that reportedly does not readily give out full scholarships. All the schools likely try to make up the difference with academic or needs based funds if they can. Any school trying to be competitive in track cannot give out a lot of full scholarships for cross country.
