Tuohy still no College decision!
Starcher decides to go to Stanford after originally announcing Notre Dame!
Some other top Runners also have not committed
Yet...
Can someone who has some knowledge about all the intricacies explain a little about the college process?
Why would Runners wait, didn't they have all summer to figure out what the best program and colleges for them is?
If you wait couldn't a school potentially give out all its scholarships! What is the benefit of waiting? Not familiar with this but I'm curious...
She is so NOT READY for the PRO's, I hope she goes to College, Have Fun Being on The Team, Gradually Improve, Maybe set some NCAA Records, and then she will be more Physically and Mentally ready To Compete at The High Levels, Sprinters tend to peak earlier and tend to be more successful when they turn PRO Early, A lot of The Ethiopian and Kenyan Women are very successful at young ages, but Americans tend to peak later. Lets say she Turns PRO and Runs GREAT, lets say 14:50 she will still lose by 20-30 seconds at the Pro Level, If She goes to College and runs 14:50 she wins by a huge margin, she is celebrated, has the fun of being on a team where teammates encourage her, In the Pro's it is like, She ran 14:50 should we give her a lane ?(Let her in the Race) Yeah why not, she wont be a factor in the race, but she is Young and American maybe a few will tune in to see how she does, Which is better for her development? I say College.
