Tough to see her lose another close battle at the end like with masciarelli at footlocker. What do you think the solution is? Maybe more speed work, or saving more during the race so she has a better kick at the end?
Firstly, Hart is one of my favorite runners. Great personality, strong running form....she seems like she would be a coaches dream and an awesome teammate.
Did Dudek snake...sure, a bit...but not anything that was out of line. Happens all the time and it's an advantage a lead runner has. Unfortunatly Katelynne let Dudek get a little too far ahead with just less than 1 km to go. She had to kick early to catch Dudek but didn't have enough to finish her off. If KH had a bit more gas at the end, the snaking would not have mattered.
If KH was 'devastated' at the finish line, she sure didn't show it. Congratulated Dudek and other runners as they came through. It's a tough 2nd again for katelynne, but I think that experience will only make her stonger going forward!!
This girl is a class act all the way through. Props to her!!! Hopefully she has a great 19/20 HS year and, and I wish her all the best at Mich.
Dudek outraced and outsmarted her. Obviously will smoke her in college.
Obviously you have a crystal ball.
No. She showed that she is the better runner.
Dudek won the race...so sure, technically she outraced her.
"Oviously going to smoke her in college"....why even say stupid comments like this?
Congrats to Dudek for winning the race, but they are pretty even runners....I'm going to assume they will be pretty close at the college level as well.

As if cutting her off twice wasn’t bad enough she can’t even acknowledge her after the race? (You should do that for anyone, but especially a future teammate) I’m worried this is going to create problems for the UM team, I wouldn’t want to be around that girl. I hope hart destroys her at nationals, then hugs her and shows her what you’re supposed to do as hart is classy unlike this chick.
Oh please, lmao. Don't believe everything you see on the internet. This clip was cut out to only show the immediate finish, if you watched the stream Hart and Dudek both congratulated each other briefly after finishing. Even if a runner doesn't show immediate sportmanship at the end of the race, that doesn't define their character 99% of the time when they aren't exhausted from putting everything they have on the line.
Can’t wait to see how NXN shakes out. Also Dudek going to Stanford I think not Michigan. Ann Arbor pioneer usually feeds to Michigan tho so confusing is understandable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not sure who the future teammate is.
Dudek is either going to an Ivy or Stanford.
Dudek is definitely going to Stanford - she and Starcher signed Friday evening with the Cards!
Classic Illinois runner that is probably gonna have all her fans complain she peaked for state meet because it is so "historic" even though the course isn't even 3 miles. This isn't a surprise because top Indiana and Michigan kids regularly clean Illinois kids socks at big meets. She will be good in college and probably win some B1G titles because its SOFT but could struggle against all the age cheating foreigners.
Too smart to pay $70k at an Ivy for a degree that she could get at Michigan for free,
The problem is that a Michigan degree is garbage right now.
If the 25th ranked university is garbage, then all are. I would rather get a Michigan degree at $30k than an Ivy degree at $70k. Free Michigan degree beats a degree from anywhere.
Definitely going to smoke her in college. Anybody can see that. Hart will fade away while Dudek is rising.

So why don't they announce it?
What's up with that?
Her academics qualify:
"Dudek is also a terrific student. She has a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and scored a 35 on the ACT (36 is perfect), making her the recruiting target of the best academic schools in the country."
https://www.freep.com/story/sports/high-school/2019/11/01/michigan-girls-cross-country-zofia-dudek-poland/4097605002/ah, sorry...truly my error. Your logic in undeniable...how could I have missed that???
Glad you have an opinion and are supporting HS sports....but sorry, your blatent 'mine is best, yours sucks' comments make you sound like a 7 year old....
Its obvious...anybody can see that!!
Boy, this entire thread is filled with fairly unintelligent comments. This time, Dudek won the race. This time. But it was close. So, one could say that we have two very good runners here. And we could also say we do not know how much they will continue to develop once they hit college. But most of you already have it figured out. Hart should just stop now, if we followed that logic. And young Tatum David hung in there as long as she could. Another very fine runner. Who, in this race, did not win. So what? Hart is certainly not devastated, and it is tiresome how often people use that word on this board. She is, and has always been, a class act in IL.
