She's the next Shalane? Editor's note:

Let's calm down people. The course was short.
Tully Runners has given her a 165 speed rating. The speed rating compares times across courses. 165 is very good for a woman but as of 2015 years ago, there were at least 20 HS girls performances in history at 165 or higher as shown in the following article:

Wasn't there a thread where it was pretty much agreed that her career was toast?
More evidence that LR is 90% moran.
She looks like a 400m runner here. Is she a senior now?
course was 2.8 miles. 2.85 at most. 100% They took around a 500 meter section out.
someone says the course was only about 2.8 miles or so, bit no matter, she was still comfortably 25 seconds faster than Claire Walters and Brooke Rauber.
But yes also that time is absolutely insane. Totally smashed the HS 5K mark.

These are some of the best ranked girls in the country. They guys results were very normal. No one broke 14:30. That makes me think it might be the right length.
I wonder if she could run a sub-16 5k in xc. She obviously can do it on a track, but it would be very impressive if she did not on grass. Also is this a new high school record for a 3 mile?

The fastest guy of the day took 1:10 off from when he ran the same course in september. He has consistently run 187 speed rating all year. He is the same runner now as then.
The course is very short. We ran the course friday night. It was Just shy of 3.1. Then later that night, they communicated to us that they were taking a section out that ran around a softball field. This section of the course was very close to 500 meters. FACT
Sure she can go sub 16 5K cross country with the right conditions
The course was probably not that short compared two other courses around the country
Depends on the conditions if it was good conditions. I could see those times being run for those girls in really good conditions
Walter's and Brooke rauber are top Runners they could definitely run around 16 on a really fast three mile course
Considering some other top Runners have run 1604 1605 on three mile courses this year. I could see it being legit. It all depends on the conditions verse the setup of the course.
Definitely! People just naturally exaggerate and get into hyperbole
Katelyn Tuohy is looking great 25 seconds faster than the are the top runners in the country. Looks like her training and strategies are working out. Seems like they have a good system at North Rockland
Now the only question is what about college no signing day commitment
I pray that I am not the only poster giving more credibility to posters like this gentleman above versus people speculating from other areas that were not in attendance at this meet.
15:36 on an accurate xc course in icy conditions would start to lead to more sinister suspicions.

So you are saying this is a 17:00+ minute 5K equivalent, while beating Walters and Rauber by 25 seconds.
0/10 Troll harder

What were the conditions?
Weather has been cold but super sunny and dry the last 3 or 4 days in New York
It could have been awesome running conditions
If that's the case then it all makes sense and nothing suspicious at all
Claire Walters is a top 5 National Runner and she ran a 1601 which is the same time that Corey Smith and Katelyn Hart are running on 3 Mile courses
Katelyn Tuohy 25 seconds faster than all these Runner is over 3 miles cross-country that's just where her natural progression as let her nothing weird about it at all
I think it was a 3-mile race
That might be creating some of the confusion
3 Mile Race fast course great conditions. Time seems legit and about what you would expect. It's been dry sunny and cold in New York makes for good running conditions
There was snow on half the course, COME ON MAN?
Is moran like a letsrun joke, or do people not know it is actually spelled moron? And is not a word to be used anyway? Or is that the same poster who cannot spell it posting under something like 20 different names?

There was very little snow on the course. it was hard as a rock over 95% with a handful of pretty bad spots.
It was 20 degrees, so not ideal there. Again, the fastest kid of the day, over a minute faster than in september. My fastest kid went from mid 16s to low 15s. He has not improved that much. They literally took a 600 meter loop right off of the race map at the last minute. They added around 100 to 125 meters back in another spot.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
