Yes, sorry, I was going off results that hadn't been finalized yet. But it doesn't change our projection.

I can only come up with 4 points for Florida State, I'm not sure how they are getting 5 up above.

According to the readout:
-Beat Vilanova at Pre-Nats
-Beat Georgetown at Joe Piane
-Beat Arkansas at Pre-Nets
-Beat VA Teah at Pre-Nats
-Beat NC State at ACC
And then they win a head to head tie-break between them and Gonzaga
Princeton loses a head to head tie-break with Gonzaga
I see the 5th point now. The discrepancy was that FloTrack had Iona over Furman in a head-to-head when the two actually haven't raced. The tie-breaker then becomes common opponents which leads to Furman getting in first, and from there Iona and so on to follow what is posted in this thread, not what FloTrack has.
Flotrack now saying LRC got it right

Anyone have a flotrack account
Yep.
If you take the two at large individual results, there is a tie on the women’s side from 7th female in midwest and 7th female in northeast. Will they break this tie by time with a cross country vs road race?
Are they not counting NC State as a win for schools at nuttycombe where they didn’t finish 5 runners? Doesn’t a forfeit in every sport normally count as a win for other schools?

Olin Hacker (uw #2) didn’t run
Anyone know why?
The next criteria is the how far they were behind the last qualifier in their region. Times from different courses/roads are not compared.

I don't. But if he plugs in where he should, UW would have been 1st or 2nd.
Kelati runs sub 19 for 6k at altitude? Jesus, she’s in shape.
Correct. No one gets a point off of NC State. If you look at the criteria for determining A vs B team in the pre-championships manual it states: "An “A” team is considered to have competed if four or more of those individuals who compete at the regional qualifying meet finished the regular-season race." NC State only had 3 guys finish at Nuttycombe. I think we can all agree if you have 3 guys DNF so you don't register a team score it should be counted as a loss to all the teams in the meet. In every other sport it would count as a loss, but it seems at times common sense is in short supply in this sport.
Were there as many runners collapsing across the finish line as usual or was the asphalt deemed not as conducive to a dramatic finish?

That’s terrible, that changes the process a lot. Via a quick glance Utah State would have still been next, then furman, then Gonzaga, then not positive because idk who Gonzaga would give points to but assuming it’s none of FSU, Washington, and Iona it would be Princeton. Gets a little murky after that for sure
Seems bizarre that NC State wouldn’t give out points for nuttycombe. They started the race with 7 so that should count as a loss regardless of who finished. I don’t know any other sport where you can start a game (race), not finish it, and not have it count on your record as a loss. Hopefully this can get fixed so the right teams qualify
I updated the xcquals.com meet results to match the notes in Letsrun's articles. Men: changed Washington to a B team at Beantown. Women: Added Paddy Doyle results and changed Texas to a B team at Arturio Barrios. No changes to the projected qualifier list. Hope it's accurate, we'll know for sure tomorrow!

FSU men thought they only had an "outside chance" of squeaking in after the race, but looks like that is paying off.
“The guys were too hyped up,” said Braman. “They went out way too fast and paid the price. We’ve got to keep our composure better if we’re going to be a Top 10 National level program in cross country.”
“We have an outside chance at an at-large berth,” Braman said. “I hope the guys get one more chance. They’re certainly fit enough to race next week.”
FSU was actually leading through 3k, which was well beyond their capabilities.
Braman deserves it. Has put on a couple of USA XC champs as well as Regionals. And will host NCAA champs in 2021.

Congrats to Portland and Rob Conner.
Always flying under the radar but pulled off their 3rd consecutive West Regional victory. One of the toughest regions in the country.

+100. What a crock. Uhh, I was taking pics of their shoes. Besides, the whole picture is terribly composed. Half of it is just the sky, then you focus on the behinds and say you were documenting the shoes.
Learn to take a picture.
