I am not on one side or the other on the gun debate. I don't own a gun but grew up in a hunting family. Why don't we treat guns just like cars and require liability insurance? Have gun locks and safes, you get a discount. You could buy as many guns as you would like, but you would have to insure each one. Want to cut down on straw purchases, make the gun sellers (both shops and gun shows) carry liability insurance as well. Don't have liability insurance, you can't buy a gun. This would also eliminate buying guns for others who may fail a background check. Have guns, but don't want to insure or hold on to them, offer a buyback program. Is there going to be a black market, sure? Just like cars. Over a 20 year span, will it decrease the number of guns in circulation and require personal responsibility? Probably.

Assuming those comments are really his that is pretty sad. I've never seen anyone comment on their own stats on that site. Obviously a cry for help.
In the news they say they have found nothing that speaks to motive.
Are the authorities aware of these comments?
They can get with the site and determine when they were made.

Gee, think it's time for a little gun control measures in par with the rest of the "civilized" world?
The civilized world? You mean like Europe and Asia, where tens of millions were rounded up on trains and sent to death camps, lined up and shot, or starved to death, by the state under socialist governments?
Outstanding.
The comment here show how much power the media has on all of you. No one asks for the evidence. Show the crime scene photos. The media tells you all something happened, shows people hugging each other and crying every flipping time these "acts" happen and you all believe it. There are even greater lies most Americans and world public believe too because they were told what to believe. Don't just buy into what you are told over the news. They NEVER show the crime scene photos of these "events"

That (inaction) certainly lets the gun lobby off the hook.
And the politicians they own.
I like your ideas, but as long as people become apathetic towards voting, assault weapons and laws rockets will be sold legally as we speak.

Thank you for mentioning this, it’s actually the FIRST comment on his athletic.net page. The previous poster conveniently ignored that in order to push a story about bullying, related to the SECOND comment on his athletic.net page. I’d link it, but I’d rather the rest of you just scroll up once and do your own reading.
