Am I doomed to fail? Going for sub-1:12
What do you mean by long?
Not doing 30k runs is different from not doing anything over 15k
Closest thing to a half marathon workout I did was 10.0 @ 5:30 solo. Afraid I will hit the wall at the the 1 hr mark. But I will well LetsRun singlet to commemorate wejo.
Jamin,
Most of the time you don't reply in your posts but I was hoping you could help me with this one.
I'm kind of drifting away from running and I hate that it's happening. I'm skipping too many days and my weekly mileage is dwindling down to hardly anything.
I've found new things that I'm a total beginner at so I'm veering from what I know I should be doing (getting out there) because it's what helps me feel good and what really works for me.
So my question for you is what drives you or keeps you motivated to get out there and run/race/compete ... basically what engages you that you haven't veered from it (all your running years)? Hope you can help me out as I'd really like a wake up call on this and would like to hear what your input on this.
Because I’ve got nothing else going on and can’t get laid. So I run.
Is there such thing as the "wall" in half marathon? Especially if you ran it so fast?
Hitting the wall mean that your body has consumed all the carbs it has available and has to attack the fat stock for energy. You won't even get close from hitting the wall in your half marathon.
Good luck!

You will be ok on race day. That was one heck of a workout. You basically did a 10 mile race.
Do you have some boing boing Nike shoes to wear? I wish I was as fast as you.

Why set up goals like this " 1:12 half " ???
You are a much better talented runner to have goals like this! I know my stuff.....You are a potential 14/29 min runner at 5k/ 10 k ( and then I hope you understand you will run a sub 1:04 half as well). And you just have to train 5-6 sessions per week.I can`t understand why you don`t let me coach you. Are you one of these people afraid of success?
After tomorrow night’s race, please don’t abandon this thread. I’m curious as to what your excuses will be for sucking.
Know your course!
Plan to run a negative split. Relax and stick to the plan. Invite the pain when it comes and ride it like a surfer.
Everyone bags on JS but he's got good points here. Believe in your abilities Jamin!
Jamin, don’t forget the race starts at 4:30am so get a good nights sleep tonight.
Then you're not racing it your running it maybe you're running it as hard as you can but you're not going to be racing it

0/10. complain about your failures at running without posting any useful information for us to guide you to your goal. just delete this post already
This Jamin creep offered me double and I still rejected him. He was in the Wynn casino wearing Hoka’s and a LetsRun singlet.
He also had b.o.
As long as you don`t take my offer to coach you for free you are doomed to stay where you are.
You have nothing to lose,,,,,,Why don`t you want to be the big HERO here on LRC ??
Being the LetsRun loser is hard enough for Jamin to maintain, ever since Greg started competing.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
