I ran my first race in Vomeros years ago. I would hate to see the line die, however I could see Nike completely changing it if the Pegs are getting react and a full zoom air (basically the vomero now)

The Vomero was always a tough sell. Sure, it has a small dedicated fanbase, but for most people it always came down to the Pegasus winning out. It's cheaper, it's lighter, it's just as good of a shoe quality-wise. The only spec you were really losing was the React, with the Peg still using Cushlon, and I'd tell people the Vomero was the cushier shoe in the line up, but once they had it on their feet it wasn't a big enough difference for anyone to justify the higher price. If someone wanted cushion, they'd either look at the Epic React series or they'd choose a different brand. It was very poor seller for us. They either need to change the shoe to differentiate it from the Pegasus, or drop it. I know it's a nice shoe when looked at in a vacuum, but within Nike's lineup there's not much incentive for the average shopper to choose it amongst other options.
for a max cushion shoe which every company has, it ran pretty unique in that it wasn't sloppy or mushy like any other similar shoe in other companies lineup. Certainly with that drop.

Fair enough, but look where that combination got them. It didn't sell in my store and the owners decided to stop carrying it. And people in this thread who seem to have information are saying that it's being pushed out of the lineup. I get it that the shoe has a small fanbase, but on the larger scale, people don't want it.
To me the Vomero is a much better shoe than the Pegasus because it lasts much longer. Yes if you stack it up to where it's competitors have traditionally been like the Triumph and 1080 it seems like it's not up to par or the customer may feel like they're being cheated in a sense because there is less cushion, however not everyone likes a lot of cushion and in my opinion people rely on cushion far too much. There is significant overlap with the Pegasus though and I do think they should merge them. I do trust Nike will get it right in it's first or second try for sure.
Vormero 14s are flooding the Nike Outlet/Clearance stores at deep discounts, stock up while you can.
Any news on Nike Air Vomero 15 release?

If you believe anything in the thread, it's being discontinued. Not too far fetched. They discontinued the Air Zoom Elite, which was one of my favorites, but it was a remnant of their previous generation of running shoes. Now with all this react and carbon and vapor stuff, the traditional running shoe is going out the window at Nike. The Pegasus continues to evolve because that's the one with name recognition, but all these offshoots are being shown the chopping block. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled the Streak next.
Maybe they'll take some time off and bring them back in a few years when the react stuff gets stale and they need to tap into nostalgia to market some shoes.

Is someone familiar that can give a comparison between the React and Vomero 14 ?
There is a Vomero 14 'facelift' model available now. When I went to a local running shoe store to check out some new Saucony shoes, I noticed that they have changed some things in the Vomero 14 for SS20. The tongue is now padded and kind of extra thick. So they haven't discontinued it. The lifecycle for this model is now 2 years. Maybe at the end of 2020 we'll see a Vomero 15.
Yes if you look at nike.com the new colorways have a different tounge so I guess that is the update.
Vomero 15 slatted for holiday '20 with ZoomX.
Pegasus 37 looks to have all react, so not sure where the Vomero will fit in anymore. I bet they cancel it

What on earth is up with that ankle set-up!? How is an achilles suppose to fit in that? That’s insane, and why have ZoomX on the heel?

For all the hobby joggers that like to land on their heels and with their toes dorsiflexed.

FR. Nike loves catering to heel strikers by giving them 28mm in the heel. Real runners only get 18mm where you are SUPPOSED TO LAND!
It's too bad Nike got rid of the Elite, one of favorite running shoes ever. Amazing versatility... worked for everything from easy runs to moderate track work. I wish Nike had given it React foam to make it a bit bouncier and bring it into the modern era.
I ran in the elite 9 but it wasn't great for easy runs. good for quick long runs and tempos and I ran my marathon PB in it. little did I know that other people in that marathon were some of the original wear testers of the 4%...
