Thoughts?
Trump is a grifter and a criminal stooge; moreover, he's most certainly a wannabe authoritarian.
However, he won many people over when he railed against the establishment and its war machinery. Since then, a lot has gone off the rails and his faux populism has been revealed for what it was. He is now a mark, by the corporate and military industrial complex, and he's going to fall.
This is actually a good thing, but it's also a distraction. Trump is not nearly as big of a threat as corporate oligarchy and the military industrial complex we tragically laud. They grift and corrupt at the highest levels in a way that most of the public, with a complicit corporate media (including Fox News, one of the biggest state-run media platforms in the history of the world), accept as inevitable.
These war criminals and traitors sell the public out on the daily, wreck havoc all around the world on the daily, and to add insult to injury, do so with the grotesquely false narrative that they're the serious people doing the necessary work. They're not; their incompetence, or apathy, and their lack of any substantive change is on full display for anyone with eyes to see.
Iraq? Total con job, total waste of money and resources, but they hit pay dirt. Meanwhile, terror has increased everywhere. How can we have paid so much, in money, in resources, in lifes, in political capital, in reputation, and yet gained nothing but terrible results?
I don't understand it. Where is the rage against the machine? Trump can suck it. Biden can suck it. Hillary can suck it. Obama can suck it. The only people with any credibility whatsoever, like Bernie, are hated far more by the establishment even more than Trump and they have endless amounts of money to see their hatred through.
Benghazi!!
The implosion in the Trump brain is a foregone conclusion.
So troll fabrications from all sides now. Oh well.
For the record, my view, and I am Trond, not a Troll:
Donald Trump is a compulsive sexist narcissist liar and criminal.
There is a lot of outrage going on. Unfortunately, most people, as you suggest, are outraged at the wrong things, thanks to disgusting rags like Fox News and, to a lesser extent, most mainstream media outlets.
Bernie's policies, voting record, and tireless devotion to the public make him a clear threat to the establishment and they've been trying to de-legitimize him since he was elected into office decades ago. He's been on the right side of history with every single one of his votes and he's fought tirelessly against some of our biggest blunders, e.g., like the Iraq invasion, which you are right to point out as a monumental mistake.
All of the people that we should be listening to are treated this way by mainstream media. This should have been the first hint that Trump is good for business; they magnified his voice, rather than silenced, but people like Chomsky? Not a peep.
We don't really have a democracy anymore, we have a plutocracy. Get out your pitchforks, you stupid twats.
Trumps impeachment can't happen quicly enough. He should never have been in the whitehouse in the first place.

So you're saying you think it's ok for a president to ask a foreign government for dirt on their political rivals?
As a matter of fact, yes, it is. Have you ever even read federal election law?
Besides this, the president is legally required to ask foreign governments to investigate corruption of US citizens involving their countries. And it is legal, even normal, for him to exert pressure toward that end if necessary. That's why there are people pointing out a quid-pro-quo would not even be illegal in this case. Even if you could prove it was in a context of election campaigning and not ordinary diplomacy, then you'd have a candidate buying information from a foreign government, which is also legal and normal.
The people somehow believing a quid pro quo was found - rather than repeatedly alleged and debunked - are delusional and setting themselves up to go home devastated. And they're annoying the hell out of the rest of us, yet again. Calm down and wise up.
You do a very good job of finding the dumbest wrong explanation for a President of the US attempting to extort the leader of another country to dig up dirt on a political rival of the President, thereby seeking to involve a foreign government in determining the outcome of a US election. (Hullo, Mueller?) Understanding your own country's constitution wasn't part of your education.

This.
We're possibly all alone in a vast empty Cosmos, and most of us primates are too busy being butthurt over someone saying Happy Holidays to do anything about being stuck on this pale blue dot.
The cosmos isn't a waste of space, we're just a wasted opportunity. Don't worry though, supply-side Jesus is coming.
Impeachment was the plan as soon as the 2016 election was final and the bosses did not get their way.
This is called treason.
But my emails? What about my emails??

What about them? Trump has (again) sought to illicitly involve a foreign country in the US electoral process - against the provisions of the US constitution - and you're still beating that tired drum.

It wasn't the plan; it was simply an inevitability given the imbecilic qualities of the turkey who is presently in the White House - although his days there are clearly numbered.
And to no one's surprise, the whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella is joined at the hip with Fusion GPS, the Obama admin., Hillary Clinton, and the DNC lol.
I've yet to see the mounting evidence. I wish people would provide their list of multiple examples and the evidence.
And I do not agree that Obama would have been impeached already. His VP bragged about doing what you think Trump did and nothing has happened to him or his son. Comey held a press conference and detailed what Obama's Sec of St did wrong and no action was taken. Obama said he wasn't a dictator and needed Congress to pass legislation first but when they didn't he signed Dreamer regulations that clearly did not have the support of Congress. But nothing was done.
Presidents should not be impeached because we do not like them or their policies or their tweets. They should not be impeached for being stupid. Elections and term limits are for that issue. As dumb as President Trump is, he must be smarter at campaigning than his opponent. Good thing the dumber candidate didn't win.
I'll admit Trump is always in salesman mode. Depending upon your perspective he is either an exaggerator or liar. When I have asked people what he lied about the most common example is the size of the inauguration crowd. Yes that was a dumb statement but he probably never paid attention to Obama's so he didn't know how wrong he was. But that lie doesn't impact my life at all. Obama's lie about keeping my health insurance policy and saving $2500 was a huge lie and it impacts me every day. Which statement would you rather be true and which one can you live with?
When the Democrats say he should be impeached before he even was sworn in then you know it is emotional and politician and not a true offence.
BTW. The Russian interference wasn't to help Trump. It was to cause confusion and with the help of the Dems it has been very successful. If anything, the Russians would have wanted the weak Hillary instead of the unknown and unpredictable Trump.
Stop watching Fox News and look for other sources of news, you will see plenty of evidence. As far as lies, again, there are sites dedicated to keeping track of all the lies he tells on a daily basis, try to keep up.
