All regions do NOT get 3 qualifiers. Three, sometimes four, get processed just in case a non auto is chose as an at large

So they are that careless to publish an incorrect rule? That makes no sense. Where are the real rules then if not in what is on the website? The 3rd place team will have a legit gripe after the race.
I took a look and Pleasant Valley will really need a 4th and 5th...From each State meet, speed ratings wise EP and MV are deeper
Middleton (WI) is a good team. They qualified the last 2 years with only 2 seniors both years.
However, they have been missing their top returner Ystenes this year since Arrowhead. I don’t know if he’ll be healthy and racing on Sunday. They had a 19 second spread at state though and won it. Their state meet speed ratings weren’t as good as that of the top 2 IA/MN teams, but they peaked at NXR Heartland last year, so if they peak there again they will be a threat.
This is not the right year for Gehl to not race at Heartland. She‘s a serious contender to qualify for NXN. The departure of the Pings makes it even more beneficial for her. She does have one more year left, but a lot of girls don’t peak senior year. And there aren’t any MN senior girls that are better than her (there may be some from other HL states but I don’t know), so it might be hard for her to place better at NXR next year than this year.

This dude's going to to smash 15:00 at NXR. Him, Scheller, and Green all have decent shots at nationals
It’s looking to be 28 degrees on race day. Similar to last year. If that happens, breaking 15 will be hard to do. No one broke 15 last year in that weather at NXR Heartland, even Bosley.
Looks like Atkinson, Paulsen, and Sassan (the 3 that were in Wayzata’s NXN squad last year) are all registered for the Open Race 1...
Boys Teams:
1. Mounds View
2. Eden Prairie
Girls Teams
1. Edina
2. Wayzata
Agree on teams. Though perhaps Stillwater can sneak ahead of Wayzata. I say Paleen, Scheller, and Green make it individually, I’d say Uhrbom but he sometimes goes out really hard.
I think for girls, Fenske and Weaver are good bets. I say Wolfgram and Malecek for two other spots and then it’s up for grabs.
1 Meghan Ford - 17:19.1
2 Kate Sperka - 17:26.9
3 Marie Hostetler - 17:27.4
4 Analee Weaver - 17:27.7
5 Anna Fenske - 17:29.6
Still waiting on team scores but Sperka's team was in second at the two mile mark.
If they qualify then Kora Malecek is the next individual.
1 - Edina - 103
2 - Muskego - 117 (Sperka's team)
3 - Wayzata - 140
above post was the 2 mile score
Hopkins has a 7th grade girl that placed 9th in the Champ race.
Wayzata had an 8th grade boy go 16:55 in the rising stars race, and 2 8th graders that finished ahead of him there ran a sub 16:30.
Not official, but it looks like Mounds View and Stevens Point are top two teams
