On the men’s race..
1. what happened to Dartmouth? Was last place expected?
2. How does Columbia train well for Xc in New York City? Or is it Good recruiting?
3. Any teams perform better than expected?
4. Yale has a hound team! Where are the seniors and juniors? Injured? I see a couple towards the bottom but otherwise underclassmen dominate.
5. Which of these teams use their recruiting more for distance than for sprints/hurdles/field? Does it correlate to their Xc results?
Thanks ! -

1. Dartmouth was projected 4th
2. Coach Ireland has a lot to do with success (program coach and specifically the womens coach). Central Park, Riverside park, and Van Cortland Paek are all decent training spots
3. Penn outperformed
Princeton underperformed.
Columbia mostly, but Yale, Brown, Cornell all bumped up while Dartmouth finished last.
Individually, Princeton's Lundy was expected to win but faded hard as Columbia's Vasbinder tightened the screws.
All of Princetons top 5 seemed off today.
Hopefully they rebound at Regionals. -

Sure got that right. The last 2 years they went on to win their region only to get DFL and 3rd from DFL in the NC's. -
Props to Kayleigh Delay from Jacksonville Beach (Fletcher HS) for winning women’s race.
