Bendy like a Nike free.

I'm disappointed that the only thing they're doing about that is making the upper as thin as they possibly can. They need a lighter midsole to be competitive. I don't understand why they think midsoles made mostly of boost are their best option. I'm a fan of adidas shoes as they fit my feet well, and it's sad to see them making no progress this long after the VFs were released.

We're talking about adidas here. Look at their spikes. They change the model only every 8 years or so. Just junk.
Right, "first athletes to race in them" - in the past 24 hours
Pros have had them all year.
They were at gold coast marathon and at Doha and like a dozen other races inbetween.
They're still doing Adidas Adizero RC, quite similar to the discontinued Adizero pro.
Actually, you can hear the carbon fiber plate bend...nothing snaps back into place like that without one...
Carbon fiber doesn't bend , it breaks
It probably just has a midfoot torsion unit, like the Adios, Boston, etc.
these have a carbon plate and don't have a clownish stack. They also bend quite easily.

Not true...carbon leaf springs in the C7 corvette and many mountain bikes use carbon fiber chain stats as part of their suspension...just check out the new Trek bikes...

No.

Is that the actual design or have the shoes been worn in a bog run? Ugly and they look slow compared next%. Disappointing. A fail from Adidas. Who's next up? I heard NB have a contender in the works.
“They look slow”
Wow you sounds like a serious runner

The bend in the opposite direction of the foot flex will fracture micro fracture the plate, plates have a one way flex pattern, not meant to be reverse flexed.
Carbon bike frames do crack.

Probably explains why they only last like a hundred miles.

i wonder if it's possible to run with those shoes in the marathon. according to reviews, you gotta be pretty fast to wear those shoes effectively, like 5 minute or under fast. i was wondering if some 4:40 per mile marathoner can effectively wear 5280s in the marathon. it's obviously a faster shoe than the vaporflys but will probably wreck your achilles
These NBs are shoes designed for milers....
Jepkosgei run in the Takumi Sen 5, it looked like. Keitany did run in the Adizero Pro.

Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
