I made a thread a while ago about pain I was having on the inside of my heel when pushing off my big toe. I was coming off a 3.5 month injury and only got up to 12 mpw before I started having the pain. I would feel it when I pushed off my big toe in my left foot, the pain was only in the backside of my heel, more on the inside, but in the back, NOT under the heel at all.
I then took 9 days off after that and it hurt like hell to walk around for 3 days and then the pain seemingly vanished and was pain free. Then my first run back I did several tests such as side to side single leg hops and explosive movements with no signs of pain. My run that day was fine, I took a day off, once again I was fine. Then took another day off and then ran yesterday and the heel pain came back. This time it’s localized on the outside of my heel rather than the inside, and I still only feel it when I push off my big toe in the left foot.
This can’t be an overuse injury because I’m barely running at all. I was used to doing 50 mile weeks before my 3.5 month injury, and then hurt my heel at 12 mpw, then took 9 days off, came back and after three 30 minute runs it came back once again on out of nowhere but it in a different spot. Everyone I have talked to has no idea what this could be and it’s very frustrating to say the least. I don’t how I could be injuring myself barely running 10 mpw and I have no idea what this could be.
