Looks like another thread about to become 'rekrunnered'.
Since you're here on this thread anyway - what's your thoughts and comments on this? (this sounds like one you would jump on).
We have the issue of testosterone gels coming up again. We have Salazar experimenting with it on his kid, we've got the lying doctor here supplying T to supposedly one senior member of Sky & BC, we've got some Kenyan males testing positive for T (don't know if they were using gels or injections though).
Maybe T is the "go to" PED for endurance athletes these days (it was in the 60s & 70s for recovery) Since there's pressure to train like a madman in order to be successful, i.e., to perform and keep a sponsor happy, to earn a living racing, etc (no surprises there), then perhaps it's impossible for most to insanely train so hard without a recovery PED.
Let's face the fact - elites get injured a lot, so "genetics" seems only to go so far with some of these elites. Perhaps it's physiologically impossible to train like that without breaking down to the point of getting injured. Maybe that's where the T comes into play? And if gels allow a runner to have a good probability of escaping detection and flying under the ABP radar, maybe that's the most prevalent PED being used out there today?
What say you?
